Monday 25 March 2024.
10cc live at The Royal Albert Hall.
Their run of mid-70s hits were bona fide, pop-literate, soft-prog gold.
They are touring to promote a massive 145-track, 14-disc, all the albums, plus single edits, B-sides and alternatives box set.
Still featuring original member Graham Gouldman.
I have seen them several times , with the first time when they headlined Hammersmith Odeon in 1975.
I also saw them in Aug 1976 when they were the main support to The Rolling Stones at Knebworth......above Lynryd Skynyrd.
This show is part of a massive world tour which includes their first tour of North America for 30 years , and a second UK leg of dates at the end of the year.
----------------------
Looks like a sold out show , but there is no gallery standing.
We have nice views, stalls swivel seats right of stage.
PAUL CANNING arrived on stage at 7.30pm for his 30 mins set.
Just him and his guitar playing tracks from his five albums.
He has had 40 million streams on Spotify.
His humour between songs certainly got him a few new fans.
10cc arrived on stage at 8.30pm for their two hour set.
Graham Goodmans current 10cc line-up features musicians who have played with many big artists when not touring with 10cc.
All their many great hit singles played, with highlights being ' I'm Not in Love' and a stunning acapella version of 'Donna'.
Great to see original.member KEVIN GODLEY join them for three songs.
When they left 10cc , Godley and Creme made some of the biggest videos for other artists in the 1980s.
A great show.

This was the fourth TCT show I have been to this week.

The Who's Roger Daltrey has announced he will step down as curator of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust gigs, after this year's set of concerts.
The shows have been running at the Royal Albert Hall since 2000, raising more than £32m from ticket sales.
The series will end with a celebration of the series of shows.
Titled Ovation, the concert will feature Daltrey himself, accompanied by artists who helped establish the gigs as a fixture of the music calendar.
From 2025, the concerts will be overseen by a series of guest curators. Daltrey will continue as a Teenage Cancer Trust Honorary Patron
