Got told about this Wednesday event a bit too late. It was on the radar,but you can't be everywhere. Legendary music pr Alan Edwards had his book launch in London and guests included three members of The Sex Pistols STEVE JONES, PAUL COOK, GLEN MATLOCK along with TONY JAMES and BILLY DUFFY. Wednesday 05 June 2024. I went to two events tonight 6.45pm to 9pm SERPENTINE PAVILLION - launch party - Serpentine Gallery , Kensington Gardens, London. The five-pointed star structure is designed by South Korean architect MINSUK CHO. Comprised of five ‘islands’, each structure of the Pavilion is unique in size, form, name and purpose, providing a multifaceted platform for Serpentine’s live programme from June to October. A big crowd of around 300 guests from the art world . SIR NORMAN FOSTER is here. n 1990, Norman Foster was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his service to British architecture. Also here was original 1970s punk rocker and 1980s blitz kid PHILIP SALLON. There were speeches at 7.45pm. Complimentary Ruinart champers, wines , three different cocktails and beers for all the guests. then 9.30pm to 11.30pm KATHY & STELLA SOLVE A MURDER ! Press night opening party next to the Ambassadors Theatre, London . This comedy musical had a odd opening night. The show halted its performance after act one due to a “major water leak”, with patrons left wondering who committed the titular murder – and forced to find out another day. The murder-mystery musical comedy is penned by Matthew Floyd Jones and Jon Brittain and co-directed by Brittain and Fabian Aloise (who also serves as choreographer for the production). It follows two true crime podcasters who find themselves in the midst of an actual whodunnit, when their favourite author is killed. They still had the party for over 200 guests. The actors were here , but no big name guests. There was a fun photo booth. A DJ is playing tunes in the overflow room. Complimentary prosecco , gin cocktails, wines , pints of Guinness , pints of lager and a grazing buffet table with different hams , cheeses , fruits etc. It is on here until 14 Sept 2024. ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Tuesday 04 June 2024. A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE - press/VIP opening night - Theatre Royal Haymarket , London SW1. DOMINIC WEST leads an all-star cast in this hotly anticipated production, as he is joined by Olivier and Tony Award nominee Kate Fleetwood (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Macbeth, London Road) and BAFTA Cymru award winner Callum Scott Howells, star of Channel 4’s It’s A Sin and West End phenomenon Cabaret. The after-party was at the swimming pool In The Haymarket Hotel near the theatre. Over 200 guests here , including cast and some well known faces , including.....
