LIME CORDIALE live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Australian indie pop rockers are touring the UK.
' Enough of the Sweet Talk' is the third studio album by Australian band Lime Cordiale. The album was released on 26 July 2024. Seven singles preceded the album's release, starting with "Facts of Life" on 8 April 2022.
The album went to number one in Australia.
They headlined The Forum in 2023...I did not go.
-------------
A near sell out crowd, that is mainly full of Aussies.
Pretty much 75% females under the age of 40.
GRAND CABLE are on at 8.15pm for 30 mins.
We have another Aussie band as support.
A decent enough indie rock set.
LIME CORDIALE are on at 9.15pm for 1 hour 40 mins.
A nice production with a raised platform at the back , their band name in huge letters on a curtain , and lots of lights and strobes.
A five piece ,plus a trombone player on a few tracks .
The lively crowd are all up dancing and singing from the start ,to their bouncy indie pop rock tunes.
The two brothers at the front look cool and the keyboard player is wearing some dodgy tight shorts.
A highlight was a cover of their Aussie heroes The Divinyls ' I Touch Myself'.
A good show, that the crowd loved.

LINDISFARNE live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
They are best known for the albums Nicely Out of Tune (1970), Fog on the Tyne (1971) (which became one of the biggest selling UK album in 1972), Dingly Dell (1972) and Back and Fourth (1978), and for the success of songs such as "Meet Me on the Corner", "Lady Eleanor", "Run for Home", "Fog on the Tyne" and "We Can Swing Together".
Rod Clements is the one original member these days.
Rod Clements (now aged 76) is a British guitarist, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He formed the folk-rock band Lindisfarne with Alan Hull (R.I.P.) in 1970.
They are playing a massive UK tour to promote their three cd box set on Cherry Red Records titled ' The Mercury Years 1978 - 1979'.
I saw them headline Hammersmith Odeon in 1985
and 1987 , when i worked front stage security there.
-------------
Levels 2 and 3 are closed as unsold, and stalls seating as an older crowd, so maybe 600 folks here.
LINDISFARNE are on stage for 1 hour 50 mins , over two sets of 50 mins and 60 mins.
Five members on stage , and Rod Clements now has a walking stick to help him get to his stool
He shares the vocals with other band members.
It is the usual laid back folk rock sound.
The overall sound is nice and clear.
Lots of lyrics were related to their Newcastle roots
Highlights in the first set included ' Lady Eleanor ' and 'All Fall Down' and the final five songs of the second half were the biggies ...a very enjoyable show.
Great to see them still playing live.
