Wednesday 18 September 2024...5.45pm to 8.30pm... HARD ROCK CAFE - showcase - Piccadilly Circus , London W1. I went to the big opening launch party for this venue five years ago in Sept 2019 where KEANE performed. They are showcasing their various spaces for hire From a private room holding 50, to the full venue that can hold 650 standing . Always great to see all the music memorabilia on the walls of the entire venue. Very interesting for me to see the white tuxedo jacket that Sid Vicious wore when he recorded the video in Paris of his hit cover single version of ' My Way'....I presume it is the original? Around 100 guests here over two of the spaces. A DJ was playing tunes in the background. Complimentary drinks and food included two different cocktails, prosecco, wines, beers and the usual Hard Rock Cafe food and desserts. Venue and Festive Menu Showcase . THE FIRE STATION - 197 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, London W4. My band used to play in a couple of the pubs in Chiswick in the early 1980s. This ex Fire Station has a cool contemporary feel. They have the main bar and space at the front, and at the rear has a space for up to 50 for private parties. We had lots of complimentary drinks and food... We had some lovely small plates of... Prawn Cocktail Lettuce Cups Harissa Spiced Roasted Potatoes Crispy Squid with Smoked Chilli Jam Spiced Apple Cider Glazed Chicken Wings Turkey Sliders with Cranberry Sauce Cheese Burger Sliders Mini Fish Goujons with Tartare Sauce Truffled Cheese Sourdough Toasties Also Blackberry Spritz cocktails , prosecco, wines, beers .
