Thursday 03 October 2024. HAEVN live at Shepherds Bush Empire. Having captured the hearts of countless music fans with their 2018 debut Eyes Closed, HAEVN are back with their latest release, Wide Awake. Renowned for their distinctive ambient sound, seamlessly blending indie-pop and cinematic elements with ethereal vocals, HAEVN promises an unforgettable experience filled with captivating arrangements, touching moments and instances of true musical vulnerability. HAEVN are from Amsterdam, Holland. ------------------- Not sold out tonight, but all levels are pretty full. A middle aged crowd, with lots of Dutch folks. HAEVN on stage at 8.05pm for their 1 hour 45 mins . Six musicians on stage, all dressed in black. The band are led by film composer Jorrit Kleijnen and singer/ songwriter Marijn van der Meer, the two have gained a large fan base with their music in recent years. Not only very popular in the Netherlands, but also other countries . Their sound was mainly gentle and mellow . In the middle of the set , a male African singer in full robes , helped with the vocals on a couple of tracks , which was really good ...a good show. At the end of the show, the band announced they were doing a meet n greet at the back of the stalls ,after the show....a big queue soon formed. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Wednesday 02 October 2024. JXDN live at Shepherds Bush Empire. LA- based singer and songwriter jxdn returns to the stage in support of his latest LP WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS. It marks jxdn’s long-awaited follow up to his celebrated debut album Tell Me About Tomorrow. His current world tour of over 30 shows has seen him in North America, Mainland Europe and now the UK . ------------- Level 3 is closed , and Level 2 is half empty. Maybe 1000/1200 here, and most are females. The younger females are tightly packed at the front of the stage , ready to swoon and scream. SACE 6 arrived on stage at 8pm for their 30 mins set. A nice set from this American trio , as they had hints of Linkin Park in their alt-rock sound. JXDN arrived in stage at 9pm for their 80 mins set. They played a good set of catchy pop punk. Jxdn has the slim lean body like a Dave Gahan. He took his shirt off halfway through for a neat cover of ' Miss You' by The Rolling Stones . The drummer was pretty amazing to watch. Overall, two good bands tonight.
