BIFFY CLYRO live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Biffy play the last of their three shows at this venue.
I am back to see them for the third time.
I recognised several that have also been at all three.
BIFFY CLYRO were on stage for two hours over two sets of 60 mins each.
They played their third album in the first set.
Again , the venue is packed to full capacity .
The front two become shirtless within 30 mins.
Just a few mins gap between the two sets.
Like Muse, Biffy are not your traditional sounding rock band. They mix lush balladry, giving way to rumbling grunge, prog-rock leanings, sweet harmonies and singalong choruses leading to crazed feral screams over a vicious heavy rock noise.Lots of moshing and crowd surfing down the front.
Highlights included ' Black Chandelier ' and "Many of Horror "(famously covered by 2010 X Factor-winner Matt Cardle, under the more family-friendly title "When We Collide" which was a Christmas number one.) The crowd surfing down the front went into overdrive for 'Many of Horror' and the pit security did a great job of handling the onslaught . Another top notch show.

Biffy play the second of their three shows at this venue...I am back again to see them.
Again, the venue is fully rammed sold out .
BIFFY CLYRO on stage for 2 hours 5 mins over two sets , which was 10 mins more than the previous night....again just 10 mins gap between sets.
Their overall sound again is loud , powerful , intense rock. They were joined by a couple of female violinists in the first set, for a couple of tracks.
Great , how they can play so many different songs, over the three nights they are playing here.
Lots of moshing again at the front of stalls .
The cameras were here again filming all the show.
The front two are shirtless pretty early on.
The bass player crowd surfed into the crowd.
They played their second album in the first set and their best of in the second set.

Sad news that PAUL Di 'ANNO has passed away.
Paul Di'Anno left Iron Maiden in 1981 after a meeting with the band and their manager Rod Smallwood. Di'Anno was the band's lead singer from 1978 to 1981, and sang on their debut album and Killers. He was replaced by Bruce Dickinson.
I saw him with Iron Maiden at Hammersmith Odeon in 1980 ,when they supported Judas Priest.
I saw him in October 2023 ,when he supported KK Priest at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Her performed his set from his wheelchair.
A trouper to the end...R.I.P.
