Sunday 01 December 2024.
A nice triple bill of punk tributes at The 100 Club.
THE SCOTTISH SEX PISTOLS
LIZZIE AND THE BANSHEES (Farewell Tour Show )
BUZZKOCKS
The Scottish Sex Pistols return with a new line-up.
They were the first proper Sex Pistols tribute act.
I saw them twice back on 1993, which was the year they formed.
I have seen all the original bands many times since the 1970s.

-------------
It is a Sunday night , but great to see this iconic venue so full.
All three bands played non stop classic punk gems.
BUZZKOCKS had a singer that did look a bit like Pete Shelley , as their set included the excellent 'Orgasm Addict', 'Boredom' and 'Ever Fallen in Love' .
LIZZIE AND THE BANSHEES on at 8.25pm for their 80 mins.
A long set for them as it is a co-headline show with SSP , and it's also a farewell show and they have more material than The Sex Pistols.
Lizzie is from Scotland and her look is the Siouxsie goth period...with big black hair and a black lacy dress.
She is great at dancing and twirling around the stage.
Highlights included 'Arabian Knights', 'Dear Prudence', 'Christine' ' , ' Night Shift', 'Jigsaw Feeling', 'Happy House', 'Hong Kong Garden' and ' Spellbound'.
Lizzie also rightly mentioned it was 48 years to the day , that The Sex Pistols Bill Grundy interviewed was aired , where Siouxsie was there in the TV studio standing behind the band .
THE SCOTTISH SEX PISTOLS on at 9.55pm for their 55 mins.
The John Lydon lookalike is a bit shorter than the real JL , but he does a great job of entertaining the crowd.
The dancing and moshing goes up a few gears , as it gets very lively front of stage.
One after another we get Sex Pistols anthems ...and a PiL classic during the encore.
Full SSP setlist played tonight...a great show...

Saturday 30 November 2024.
MASSIVE WAGONS live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
A great UK rock band, with a great singer.
I have seen them a couple of times before.
The first time was at The Ramblin' Man Festival in 2016.
They are touring to promote their hit new album ' Earth to Grace', which entered the UK charts at number 4 on 15 November 2024.

Levels 2 and 3 are closed tonight , and maybe 800 tickets sold.
An older rock crowd here
CAM COLE arrived on stage at 7.30pm for 30 mins.
Tonight's opening act was a lovely surprise.
Cam Cole is a real life street musician, singer, songwriter, busker, and new age traveler from London, UK. Hailed as “the most impressive one-man band you will ever see” .He roams around Camden etc performing on streets and venues as his one man band show influenced by Folk, Delta Blues, Grunge and Rock N' Roll....lots of nice bottleneck blues guitar...
He was joined by his Steven Tyler lookalike friend on percussion.
The vocals were a bit hard to make out , but the pair were really great to watch.
FLORENCE BLACK arrived on stage at 8.30pm for 30 mins.
The band are a male rock trio , with no female at all.
Lots of good solid rock tracks played.
MASSIVE WAGONS arrived on stage at 9.30pm for 85 mins.
Five musicians on stage, including nice twin guitars.
Baz on vocals is non-stop bouncing and prowling around the stage, as the band play good time uptempo rock .
Hints of AC/DC in many of the songs.
Highlights included ' Back to the Stack', ' Fuck the Haters' and ' Bangin In Your Stereo' ...a great live rock band.
Full MASSIVE WAGONS setlist played tonight....
