KASABIAN + BLOSSOMS live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Two big name bands are playing this special intimate show.
BRITs Week is back, with some of the biggest names in music performing at legendary venues. These very special gigs will be raising money for children whose lives have been devastated by conflict and need War Child’s support.
I have seen Kasabian several times before, with the first time in 2005, and have seen The Blossoms.
This show will be the first time I have seen Kasabian since the departure of singer Tom Meighan , although I did see a great solo show by Tom Meighan at The Forum since then.
Blossoms are a popular band in their own right , as all of their six albums have made the UK Top 10 chart , and four of them have hit the top spot.
------------
The venue is rammed full tonight.
The 200 folks in Level 1 are 120 guests and the other 80 have paid £250 charity donation tickets.
BLOSSOMS arrived on stage at 7.45pm for their 45 mins set.
A nice big sound , as there are seven of them on stage .
Singer Tom Ogden has that great 1970s retro look.
The three seated levels of the crowd were up and dancing for the last couple of songs....a very good set.

KASABIAN arrived on stage at 9.05pm for their 85 mins set.
Everyone in the three seated levels are up and dancing from the start, as the atmosphere is very lively indeed.
The dancing and moshing in the stalls is full on .
Serge is front of stage , and plays some bass and guitar.
The band are all behind him on raised platforms.
Lots of their big anthems played in their set.
Great to see their old mate NOEL FIELDING come on for ' Vlad The Impaler' as I have seen him come on for that song before.
The final track of ' Fire' had the entire venue going mental.
A great show.
