The London Book Fair (LBF) is where the global publishing community unites to develop relationships, gain insights, and define the future of creative content. From publishers, dealmakers, copyright pros, commissioners and global licensers - the entire publishing industry is represented at LBF. Today was the opening day of the three days here. A massive event as it's across all of both the main halls. Must be at least 200 stands here showcasing. Great to see that printed titles are still going strong. 4pm to 5pm - IRON MAIDEN Drinks reception at Thames & Hudson . Complimentary Iron Maiden Trooper Beers and Wines. The staff are wearing Thames & Hudson t-shirts in Maiden font. Thames & Hudson has recently signed the "definitive" legacy book celebrating the first 50 years of Iron Maiden. Creative director Tristan de Lancey acquired world all-language rights for Iron Maiden; Infinite Dreams - The Official Visual History from Oliver Stanton at Global Merchandising Services. Rights have been sold in six territories to date. Iron Maiden; Infinite Dreams will be published in autumn 2025. The book was described as a "magnificent celebration" of the heavy metal band with "unparalleled input from band members and management". It tells the story of the band’s first gig in 1975, their first record deal in 1979 through to the recording of groundbreaking albums, including The Number of the Beast, Seventh Son Of a Seventh Son, Senjutsu and the forthcoming, Run For Your Lives World Tour. 5pm to 6pm AUDIBLE BOOKS reception. Complimentary prosecco , wines , beers and a buffet of cheeses , hams, salamis and fruits . 6pm to 7pm LITERARY SCOUTS - group reception - Hilton Olympia . THE MURPHIA LIST - list announcement party - THE MARYLEBONE , 47 Welbeck Street , London W1. Around 150 guests at this five star hotel. In the run-up to St Patrick's Day, Hot Dinners website proudly present The Murphia List, in partnership with Bord Bia, the Irish food board, showcasing the Irish talent contributing to the creativity of London's food and drink scene. Chefs, restaurateurs, pub landlords , bar owners , press here. RICHARD CORRIGAN was here. All the complimentary food and drinks were Irish. Five Farms Cream Liqueur, Guinness, Boatyard Gin, Bushmills Irish Whiskey , Wines from Doran Vineyards. Canapes including oysters from Rocks , and Irish Farmhouse Cheese Selection .
