A bit annoying that two great events were on at the same time.
BAFTA HQ - showcase - Piccadilly 6pm to 9pm
CARTIER - private view - V & A Museum 6.45pm to 9pm.
The idea was to pop into BAFTA for an hour then to the V & A, but BAFTA was really good, so we stayed there

This certainly was a big shock.
Blondie drummer CLEM BURKE has passed away , aged 70, after a private battle with cancer.
Without doubt one of my fave drummers ever.
Lucky to have seen him with Blondie over a dozen times , since 1977 when they supported Television at Hammersmith Odeon.
Saw him many times playing with other acts ,including...
1981 with Michael Des Barres Band ( Fulham Greyhound)
1997 with The Plimsouls ( in Barcelona)
2005 with Nancy Sinatra
2013 with Glen Matlock & The Philistines
2017 with Dave Stewart & Friends
2018 with The Tearaways
2019 with Bootleg Blondie
----
27 July 2013.Glen Matlock And The Philistines live at The Railway Hotel, Southend,Essex.
For this special one off show the band will feature Blondie drummer Clem Burke on drums.
They are playing as a trio as guitarist James Stevenson has just joined up with The Cult the past week to be their second guitarist on their world tour.
