Thursday 08 May 2025....7.15pm to 10.30pm. THE NATIONAL GALLERY SAINSBURYS WING - re-opening party - Trafalgar Square , London WC2. A massive crowd as around 2000 have been invited. A huge queue at 7pm , meant a wait to get in. Guests included SIR GRAYSON PERRY ,TRINNY WOODALL and DAVID ARMSTRONG -JONES. The Sainsbury's Wing re-opens after a two year refurbishment . Over 1000 works of art on display , from many famous artists, from the 13th century to early 20th century. There is also a plush 200 seater theatre Several acts are playing short sets in different rooms , and two djs played 45 mins sets each at the end of the night in the main foyer . Complimentary Nyetimber English Sparkling Wines , white wines, beers and table snacks for all the guests . --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- Wednesday 07 May 2025....I went to three events tonight... 5pm to 6pm. JODIE CAREY ' Earthen ' - private view - The Artists Garden, on the roof of Temple tube station, London WC2. Very interesting huge outdoor space of artists installations above the tube station. Nice views of the river, although still a bit chilly . Complimentary Mezcal Plasma cocktails and beers. then 6.30pm to 7.45pm. PATRICK CAULFIELD - private view - Bernard Jacobson Gallery , 8 Golden Square, London W1. Patrick Caulfield was an English painter and printmaker known for his bold canvases. Born in Acton in 1936, Caulfield studied at Chelsea School of Art from 1956 to 1960 and at the Royal College of Art from 1960 to 1963. In 1964, he exhibited at the New Generation show at London's Whitechapel Gallery and became associated with the nascent pop art movement. Complimentary Gin & Cucumber drinks for al the guests then 8.15pm to 10pm. CINE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL - launch party - Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel , 20 Warwick Street , London W1. A very lively and buzzy event. A few well known folks here including LAURA WHITMORE, SADIE FROST, JO WOOD, NICK KNOWLES, DANIEL LISMORE , STEPHEN WEBSTER, TAMER HASSAN and MARK FULLER (the main owner of the hotel). The DJ was playing sone cool dance re-mixes. Lots of complimentary drinks and food as five different cocktails and food including king prawn tempura and cheeseburgers . It was a bit too busy here , so the bar tab finished at 10pm, which is when we departed.
