Wednesday 04 June 2025...5.30pm to 9pm... London showcase for hotels, venues and experiences in the Windsor , Maidenhead and surrounding areas. at Leonardo London City Hotel, 8 - 14 Coopers Row, Tower Hill, London EC3. Around 50 mainly female guests here. Around 20 hotels, venues and experiences are showcasing, so we get handed a sheet and from 5.30pm to 7pm we get each stand ticked off , as we speak to each venue rep. Some fantastic hotels with stunning large grounds and views etc. The Windsor area is always nice to visit . Our prosecco glasses are topped up as we walk around . The completed sheet is then handed to the organiser . From 7pm to 9pm we are sat down in their terrace restaurant and bar for more complimentary prosecco, wines, coffees , bowl foods, canapes and desserts. At 7.45pm was around a dozen prizes in the draw . Several nice hotels are offering overnight stays . How did the three of us get on? Good odds of 1 in 4 to get a prize of some sort. I won a tour of Royal Holloway College Egham. Historic venue used to host big bands back in the day. My two guests with me...one won an overnight stay in one of the Windsor hotels and the other didn't win anything ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Tuesday 03 June 2025...I went to two events tonight... 6.15pm to 7.30pm . SERPENTINE GALLERY PAVILLION - launch party - Kensington Gardens, London W2. Around 300 guests here Marina Tabassum has built emergency homes for the delta-dwellers of the Ganges using grass and bamboo. Her Serpentine pavilion is part tropical glasshouse, part 70s office block. It's capsule-like form with a central court that aligns with Serpentine South's bell tower. Indian music being played in the background. Complimentary Ruinart champers , two cocktails, wines, ciders. It is open to the public 06 June to 26 Oct 2025. then 7.45pm to 9pm. GIVENCHY presents the opening party for Rex Southwick's exhibition at Unit Gallery , 3 Hanover Square , Mayfair, London W1. Over 100 guests here including DAMIAN HURLEY ,JOE JONAS , JESSICA MADSEN ( Bridgerton etc) . ROBIN KATZ TRIO played a few tracks in the corner. Rex Southwick's latest solo exhibition, To Distraction, journeys along the Côte d'Azur in search of escape. Offering a behind-the-scenes perspective into some of the Riveria's most revered architectural masterpieces, the exhibition looks beyond their modernist façades to consider the truth of life behind luxury. Complimentary Moet champers , beers and canapes for guests. All guests got a very nice goodie bag.
