Friday 06 June 2025....I went to two events tonight.. 6.15pm to 7.15pm. BERNAR VENET - private view - Waddington Custot Gallery , 11 Cork Street , Mayfair , London W1. French artist Bernar Venet has a long association with Waddington Custot.. Waddington Custot has represented him for several solo exhibitions, including "Hypotheses" in 2022 and a new show, "When Steel Dreams of Code," which opens June , 2025. ...It is on here until 19 July 2025. BERNAR VENET is here and chatty and friendly to all. He looks very youthful for his 84 years ago. Over 100 guests here. Complimentary prosecco wines and beers for the guests then 7.20pm to 9.20pm. DUKES ALL STARS - launch party - Champion Store ,48-50 Brewer Street , Soho , London W1. A very busy and lively event,as there are as many people outside the store as inside it. A mainly young crowd who are loving the urban music sounds of the DJ .. . we must be the oldest ones here...LOL. A rapper called BRUZA does a really good 20 mins set . Complimentary drinks and food included a choice of three different Hennessy cocktails and cartons of chicken wings and chips. It was at a similar event to this back in 2014 ,where I was impressed by a 15 mins set by a female rapper...her name LITTLE SIMZ. ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Thursday 05 June 2025...7pm to 11.15pm... TEMPLETON GARDEN HOTEL - launch party - 1- 15 Templeton Place, Earls Court , London SW5. Over 200 guests at this four star boutique hotel that used to be several houses. It has 156 rooms. A massive outdoor terrace garden space out the back. Lots of male and female models and other creatives here. LADY VICTORIA HERVEY was here. A DJ was playing tunes in the background. At 9.30pm MABEL performed a six song 25 mins set. It included her Top 10 hits ' Finders Keepers', ' Don't Call Me Up' , ' West Ten' and 'Boyfriend'. Mabel is the daughter of Nenah Cherry. From 10pm onwards MELANIE BLATT and JAMIE WINSTONE were the djs and got the crowd dancing. Lots of complimentary drinks and food all evening , including Gusbourne English Sparking Wines , four different cocktails, wines, beers, bowl foods , canapes and a desserts table. We left at 11.15pm ,but still lively as due to finish at midnight.
