Not sold out tonight, but maybe 1200 are here.
A great mix of cool black and white folks who look like they frequent The Jazz Cafe.
A DJ is playing tunes when the artists not on stage
AMAHLA arrived on stage at 8pm for her 25 mins set.
She was backed by a guitarist.
The Ivor Novello-nominated artist stands apart for her incredible voice and poignant sociopolitical songwriting. Her talents have earned her a mentor in Nile Rodgers of CHIC, extensive critical acclaim and a devoted following. Amahla’s voice moves through R&B, jazz, pop, folk and soul music effortlessly
Her set included a nice cover of 'Ain't No Sunshine'.
LEDICI arrived on stage at 9.05 pm for her 80 mins set.
Ledici was backed by a four piece band and female backing vocals .
She looks much younger than her 53 years.
Ledisi is similar to Macy Gray in that she is a neo-soul artist, but Ledisi is known for her lush, articulate vocals and more traditional, polished sound, whereas Macy Gray is famous for her unique raspy voice and a more quirky, old-school soul/funk-influenced style. Both are talented female vocalists in the R&B/soul/ gospel arena.
The crowd are gently nodding and swaying along.
Highlights included ' Love Never Changes', ' Pieces of Me', 'Anything For You' and ' I Blame You'.
An enjoyable show.

WANKERNOMICS live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Australia’s favourite workplace duo return with their brand new show ‘Just Touching Base’. Since launching in 2023, they have become something of a phenomenon with their unique blend of observational comedy and dark satire.
So find some extra bandwidth, synergise your stakeholders and pop some time in the diary for their most outcomes-focused, value-added, best-practice, deep-dive yet into the realities of the working world.
They return to London in April 2026 for two shows at The Palladium.
-----------------
It is stalls seated tonight, maybe 1000 out of 1200 tickets sold.
Lots of suited folks, who look like they have come straight from the office.
The show is on for 90 mins over two sets of 55 mins and 35 mins.
The stage is set up like an office , with a big screen .
Anyone who has worked in an office would recognise everything here.
The duo had success at the Edinburgh fringe this summer. Australian comedy duo James Schloeffel and Charles Firth have gone the extra mile by giving their show its own logo, a middle finger that raises flamelike on a screen in their workplace presentation. The pair play consultants, here to navigate us through – and often just swear incessantly about – the hellscape of office politics, meaningless business jargon and interminable meetings.
