Sunday 11 January 2026.

Sunday 11 January 2026. 999 live at The 100 Club. This is the last show for this year's 100 Club annual Resolution Punk Festival. 999 (50th Anniversary ) ) + Hi Fi Spitfires. I have seen 999 around 25 times since 1977 and the punk heyday. Singer Nick Cash is now aged 75. ---------- A messy journey going in as all the trains from and to Paddington western section , were down due to a fire , so i got alternative route in , but that meant that i missed all of the support band. It is freezing outside, but inside the venue it is hot and very full. Good to see several punk rockin' chums here. 999 arrived on stage at 9.25pm for their 65 mins set. Singer Nick Cash is still full of punk rock enthusiasm ,as he continually reminds us that 999 are celebrating 50 years of punk rockin' this year . A set of older classics and newer tracks, with the likes of biggies 'Emergency' , 'Nasty , Nasty' , 'Homicide' and 'i'm Alive ' played near the end. 999 are always really great to watch. Full 999 setlist played tonight .. Black Flowers for the Bride Inside Out Hit Me Feelin' Alright With the Crew Shoot Boys in the Gang Titanic (My Over) Reaction Li'l Red Riding Hood ( Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs cover) Really Like You My Dad Trashed My Submarine Biggest Prize in Sport Last Breath Lie Lie Lie No Pity Emergency Nasty Nasty Homicide Encore: Let's Face It I'm Alive ------------------- ------------------- Saturday 10 January 20 Hard to believe DAVID BOWIE passed away 10 years ago . I was lucky to have seen him 18 times since the 1970s. That included Live Aid in 1985. Also shook his hand and got my Heathen album signed by him at HMV London signing in Sept 2002. ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Friday 09 January 2026. HIGH NOON - press / VIP night - Harold Pinter Theatre, Panton Street, London SW1. No well known names in the cast from my eyes. Set in the American West of the 1800s, High Noon rides on themes as relevant now as they were then. Courage vs. Cowardice. Justice vs. Peace. Duty vs. Desire. And at its heart, is the bond between Will Kane and Amy Fowler – a love tested by impossible choices as the clock ticks down to the return of deadly outlaw Frank Miller on the high noon train. Three Bruce Springsteen songs performed. An enjoyable show. It is on here until 07 March 2026. Guests watching the show included Pierce Brosnan, Sir Derek Jacobi, Dame Helen Mirren, Dame Arlene Phillips , Frank Skinner , Bruno Tonioli , Gyles Brandreth , Ashley Jenson, Nick Ferrari , Alfie Boe, Adil Ray, Blake Harrison, Andy Serkis, Gaby Roslin and no doubt a few more. then 9pm to 11.30pm. Opening night party at The Haymarket Hotel , Suffolk Place, London SW1. Around 300 guests in their covered swimming pool area downstairs. All the cast turn up. Several of the guests that watched the show are here, including Pierce Brosnan, Bruno Tonioli , Dame Arlene Phillips . Complimentary prosecco, wines, beers , canapes , including tempura king prawns , and pure chocolate balls. We left at 11.30pm and around half the guests were still here.
