You can watch it in pubs and other venues if they have TNT. It will be live on the radio , and highlights on Match Of The Day at 10.30pm. John Lydon is a big fan and will be watching the game in Spain before he comes on stage. ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Thursday 28 May 2026....I went to two events tonight... 6.30pm to 9pm. Flannels , 167 Oxford Street , London W1. PALM ANGELS X Hï IBIZA launch party Club culture meets Ibiza's boundless spirit. Ft. custom-designed tie-dyed pieces inspired by Mediterranean sunsets and nocturnal euphoria. They were on display on the ground floor. The party is held in their downstairs space. The usual huge digital images along three of the walls. A female DJ then a male DJ playing lively tunes in the middle of the venue. Folks were dancing for the last hour or so. Amazingly it was an older woman who started the dancing off . See my Facebook page for a video of her dancing skills. Complimentary spirits n mixers , prosecco , wines and beers for all the guests. then .... 10pm to 12pm BEETLEJUICE - press night after-party - The Crypt , Trafalgar Square , London WC2.. The show was on earlier at The Prince Edward Theatre . It is on there until 17 April 2027. A very big crowd as must be over 500 guests here. The cast are here , but no familiar names that i know. Complimentary prosecco , wines , beers , cans of Orangina , different bowl foods and canapes . --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- Wednesday 27 May 2026....I went to two events today... JIMMY TARBUCK live at The Beck Theatre, Hayes, Middlesex. 2.30pm to 4.30pm afternoon show...as part of his Farewell Tour. Early start early finish , so us seniors can get home for dinner time. Jimmy Tarbuck (now aged 86 ) is an English comedian, singer, actor, entertainer and game show host. British entertainment legend celebrates 60 years in show business. Born in Liverpool , he was friends with The Beatles and Cilla Black back in the 1960s. Jimmy went to school with John Lennon from 1945-1951. --------- Not sold out , so maybe 400 tickets sold out of the 600 capacity . As expected it is mainly an older crowd , as some well into collecting their pensions. JIMMY TARBUCK performed for 80 mins over two sets of 40 mins. He is standing up for most of the show and looks in good health. There is a big screen showing some of his video clips , including when he scored a penalty at Wembley Stadium in 1988 in a showbiz football game. His stories from the early days in Liverpool to the bright lights of the London Palladium are delivered with a mixture of pride, humility and that trademark Liverpudlian sparkle. The evening unfolded like a guided tour through British entertainment history. Tarbuck’s memories of working alongside Bruce Forsyth, Des O’Connor, Tommy Cooper, Kenny Lynch , Ronnie Corbett and the immense variety stars of the 1960s and 70s were told with affection rather than self-importance. Playing golf with Bob Hope , and meeting Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. There was a Q n A session with the audience. Tarbuck shares the spotlight with the people who shaped him, colleagues who inspired him and audiences who kept him going. There is no bitterness nor cynicism, just gratitude and a genuine love for the craft. Jimmy signed his autobiography and tour programme for folks after the show in the foyer. then 7pm to 11pm. POWER BALLAD - film launch party - Guinness Vaults , Guinness Brewery , 5 Langley Street , Covent Garden, London WC2. My first visit to the huge Guinness complex that opened in Dec 2025. The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London in Covent Garden is a sprawling, £73 million micro-brewery and visitor experience spanning multiple historic buildings in Old Brewers Yard. Officially opened in December 2025 by King Charles III, the site features a micro-brewery, tasting rooms, dining spaces, and event venues.Site Features & Experiences .The Brewery & Tours: Led by Master Brewer Hollie Stephenson, the facility brews 11 limited-edition craft brews and seasonal specials alongside classic favorites. Guided tours allow visitors to explore the brewing process and pour their own pints.The Store: Located on Neal Street, this retail space offers custom experiences, exclusive fashion/art collaborations, and limited-edition merchandise.The Guinness Vaults: An underground, multifunctional event space located on Langley Street for private hires and community/consumer cultural events. Around 200 guests are in their Vaults space downstairs. The film ' Power Ballad ' stars Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. There are images and posters of the film dotted around. The film is in cinemas from 29 May 2026. At 8pm we had four live music performances of 15 mins each. Richard Fairlie Bryony Dunn & The Forest Sherika Sherard SOFIA GOBBI and her band was the last act on and the best of the four acts. Lively indie pop tracks from her debut album ' Better Man'. Complimentary Guinness, lagers, wines , beef & Guinness pies , chicken pies and canapes . All guests got a goodie bag with a t-shirt of the film. About the film... Rick Power, wedding singer, meets washed up former boy band singer Danny Wilson at a wedding one night, and they bond over a jam session. After the jam session, Danny steals one of Rick's songs, and it becomes a number one hit. This brings Danny back into popularity, leading to Rick seeking out revenge and recognition. THE SEX PISTOLS classic anthem ' God Save The Queen ' was released this day 49 years ago in 1977. It came out on the exact date of my 18th birthday . Happy Birthday to SIOUXSIE SIOUX who is 69 today.
