Thursday 02 July 2026...I went to two events tonight... 6pm to 7.15pm . MINI COOPER - showcase - Park Lane, Mayfair, London W1. Around 100 guests here. They are celebrating the last 25 years of the Mini car. Several special editions are on display including one dressed as a cow and a rugged one designed by Dsquared . S male sax player is performing well.known covers. Complimentary drinks and food including three different cocktails , wines, beers , canapes and popcorn. then 7.30pm to 9.30pm. CONVEX SUMMER PARTY - Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly London W1. Founded in 2019, Convex Insurance is a rapidly growing international specialty insurer and reinsurer. With operations across London, Bermuda, and the US, the firm underwrites complex and non-standard risks—such as aerospace, marine, and energy and is on track to surpass $4 billion in gross written premium. A massive crowd of 700 or 800 guests here at least. Very similar to the RAA summer party , but without the celebrities. Over 1000 paintings and drawings and sculptures on display across the rooms. A female DJ is playing tracks in the background. Complimentary drinks and food included Paul Bara champers, three different cocktails , wines, beers, a seafood and sushi station including lobster and oysters , bowl foods canapes and desserts. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Wednesday 01 July 2026...3pm to 9pm... IGB LIVE London at Excel , London E14. A massive event as there must be a couple of thousand here. Over 100 companies that are gambling related are showcasing. Lots of vibrant colours from some amazingly designed stands. Lots of pretty promo girls, mainly from mainland Europe. Many stands are giving out promo items like t-shirts, note books , key rings etc . Every other stand has a complimentary bar set up , and some also have a DJ. Complimentary cocktails , spirits n mixers, wines , beers , coffees and a little bit of food and desserts . --------- At 6pm we went to The Fox pub nearby for the after event. They had the big screens on. We watched the second half live....England v Congo... Harry Kane two goals saved us from an early embarrassing exit. A big crowd of 300 or 400 here. A DJ played tunes in the background. Complimentary Aperol Spritz , wines, lagers , ciders , Guinness , canapes and Brownies . ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Tuesday 30 June 2026...5.15pm to 9.30pm... IGB LIVE London - launch party - Big Easy Bar BBQ & Crabshack ,Canary Wharf , London E14. Must be around 300 guests here. This venue has a nice large rooftop terrace , that holds 150. We have a three piece band who are playing nice Blues and Americana type covers.
