Complimentary prosecco and beers until 7.30pm , then after the speeches the staff quickly set up 30 tables for the full Indian buffet with ice-cream , and the main bar opens for more complimentary drinks including spirits n mixers , wines , Guinness etc What they say .. COLEEN NOLAN live at Bush Hall, Shepherds Bush , London W12. Coleen Nolan is hitting the road for a joyous celebration of life, love, and laughter with her brand new live show ‘This Is Me’. She was the girl next door who, with her sisters, had the big hit ‘I'm In the Mood For Dancing’ . Between 1979 and 1982, The Nolan's enjoyed a string of hit singles, including "I'm in the Mood for Dancing", "Gotta Pull Myself Together", "Who's Gonna Rock You", "Attention to Me" and "Chemistry". The Nolans became one of the world’s best-selling girl groups and found particular success in Japan. Coleen is currently a regular on ITV1 lunchtime show ' Loose Women'. The last time i was at this lovely venue was August 2024, when I saw all three Sex Pistols with Frank Carter shows . --------- It is stalls seated tonight, and the venue looks full, mainly with middle aged females and couples. SHANE NOLAN arrived on stage at 8.15pm for his 35 mins set. Coleen's son does a great job of warming the the crowd up, first with some witty stage banter , then singing a few songs to backing tapes , including a boy bands medley. Shane is a regular on stage, so has got a very good singing voice. Shane introduced his mum COLEEN NOLAN ,who arrived on stage at 8.50pm and was on for 1 hour 40 mins , over two sets of 40 mins and 60 mins, as the two of them sat chatting in comfy armchairs . Coleen looks great in a different outfit for each set. A big screen is showing photos and videos from all aspects of her life and career. Early footage of her singing with The Nolan's , with a dodgy haircut , brought laughs and Coleen said ' I was one of eight kids , and we didn't have any money , so my dad cut my hair". Coleen has had an incredible 26 years on Loose Women, and said " despite what the gossip in the papers say , we all get on".. ....and mentioned Ruth was her fave Loose Woman. There were some a Q & A session from the audience , and celebrity friends on the big screen , that had some funny questions, and hilarious answers. Coleen won an International Emmy Award in 2019 for her participation in the television special ' The Real Full Monty: Ladies Night' , and she said how much she enjoyed doing it. Four Nolan sisters —Bernie, Linda, Maureen, and Coleen—reformed the group for a successful UK arena to in 2009 and for the album ' I'm in the Mood Again' .Coleen was over the moon this happened then as sadly two sisters have since passed away ( Bernie in 2013 and Linda 2025). The first set ended with a song.' This Is Me' from The Greatest Showman . The second set ended with a few Nolan's hits as everyone got up for a little dance, that ended with ' Who's Gonna Rock You ' and of course ' I'm In The Mood For Dancing '. Coleen was obviously really enjoying singing again. And if that was not enough, Shane had one more surprise up his sleeve. “I know you are disappointed that you’ve never been asked to be on Strictly”, he announced. “Well, right now we are going to put that right”. Dressed in a sequinned purple shirt, he and mum Coleen strutted the stage with relaxed ease and aplomb, and the audience lapped it up. “Save every moment and don’t care what anybody thinks”, Coleen announced at the close as the audience let up a big cheer. Coleen and son Shane made it fun in a way that may have been more difficult if someone else had asked the questions. Their love for each other shone through, and with Shane’s baby son, Cruz, making a guest appearance earlier in the evening, it seems the Nolans’ future is in safe hands. Overall a very entertaining and enjoyable evening.
