Sunday 16 August 2026.
As it is a Sunday , shows at Wembley Stadium usually start and finish 30 mins earlier.
Tonights view is from the gold circle by the pit barrier.
Easier to be there , as the hardcore fans are all by the sides of the walkway.
PLAYBOI CARTI arrived on stage at 6.30pm for his 30 mins set.
The other nights he was on for 40 mins, but it is shorter tonight for some reason.
His type of aggressive vocals is certainly different to The Weeknd.
Several tracks had heavy heavy bass that drowned out the vocals , or maybe our position was too near the speakers ...the crowd seemed to like it , as they knew the lyrics.
THE WEEKEND arrived on stage at 7.45pm for his usual 2 hours 10 mins set.
His pop / light soul songs are starting to grow on.me.
Great to see and hear the crowd singing all the lyrics .
You can feel the heat of the flames from where we are.
Gold circle is normally the best view, but The Weeknd spends a lot of time on the walkway after the first 30 mins, and he then becomes a bit distant ,and we watch on the big screen.
This show really was a visual extravaganza.

Saturday 15 August 2026.
Pretty much the same show as the night before.
Although when you go to multi nights that means I can watch it from different positions.
Friday was on the pitch stage right just outside the gold circle.
Tonight I am at the end of the catwalk but before the b stage.
This is where The Weeknd gets up close to fans on both sides later on , as it is a ground level space , when he sings to them etc.
He has a few burly security chaps following hid every move.
It is a visually bonkers stage production, that's more suited to a full on rock band show.
He must have 20 or 30 columns of flames bursting out.
When it goes dark at dusk , you can see why people pay big money for stadium gigs , as the LED wristbands flicker and all the pyros kick in , and it all looks amazing.
The Weeknd sings four or five tracks on the b stage, near the end.
Another very entertaining show.

Also on Tues 18 August 2026 and Wed 19 August 2026.
THE WEEKND plays FIVE huge sold shows at Wembley Stadium.
The Weeknd continues to make history with his record-breaking “After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour.” The global megastar became the first artist to sell out six nights at Stade de France in Paris on a single tour, and he has drawn more than half a million fans across France just this summer. Throughout his run, The Weeknd has sold out 13 stadium concerts throughout France, cementing his connection with fans from l’Hexagone.
His synth pop mega hit 'Blinding Lights" is the most-played and most-streamed track in Spotify history. Released on November 29, 2019 from the album 'After Hours' , it became the first song ever to cross 5 billion streams on the platform, currently holding over 5.5 billion total streams.
It was number one in 35 countries, including the UK and USA.
For the UK and European shows, PLAYBOI CARTI is bringing his distinct rage-rap style and high-energy performance as the exclusive opening act.
The videos from the shows in France show a spectacular stage production , so I am aiming to be at the first three shows by Weeknd here at Wembley Stadium.
----------
Most of the crowd appear to be under 30/35 , with just a sprinkling of older folks .
A surprise to me is that there is a third act on the bill called PRINCE 85
I was hoping his 30 mins set was a Prince tribute from his ' Purple Rain' era , but it's sadly not.
Prince 85 is the alias of Mejdi Rhars, a French producer, composer, and DJ from the Paris suburbs. He is widely known for his dark, cinematic electronic sound and his frequent production collaborations with The Weeknd, Metro Boomin, and Future.
He played a track that The Weeknd was on vocals , but he just got polite applause at the end of his set..
PLAYBOI CARTI arrived on stage at 7pm for his mere 40 mins set.
He is a big name support act ,so really should have been given a 60 mins set.
He had his own fans here who were jumping around a lot.
He is certainly more "edgy" than The Weeknd, especially regarding his raw, chaotic aesthetic, aggressive rage-rap production, and disruptive underground persona. While both artists lean heavily into dark, nocturnal themes, they approach the vibe very differently:Playboi Carti likes demonic imagery, inverted crosses, heavy leather, corpse paint, and aggressive, distorted vocals.
He was backed by two male vocals and a guitarist and backing tapes .
Most of the time was spent on the catwalk by all of them, with use of all the flames and big screens.
THE WEEKND arrived on stage at 8.10pm and played for 2 hours 10 mins.
It was a visually incredible stage production.
The stage is all futuristic, and there is extended stage cross style catwalk and a B stage .
All the crowd have those Coldplay like LED wristbands that light up to the music.
He is trying to outdo Rammstein in the flames department, as there are flames galore every other song .
There are tons of lights and lasers used throughout the show.
The Weeknd features a towering 40-foot-tall gold-coated "Sexy Robot" sculpture by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama as the centerpiece on the pitch .Billed as the largest fine art piece ever commissioned for a concert, it features laser eyes and smoke effects.
Around 20 female dancers in red cloaks and masks are on the catwalk for the first 30 mins, and come back later on for the last 30 mins.
The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) has a dynamic music style that evolved from dark, moody, alternative R&B into cinematic, stadium-ready synth-pop and retro 1980s new wave. His work is defined by high-pitched, soaring falsetto vocals, atmospheric electronic production, with hints of Michael Jackson and Prince.
After 60 mins PLAYBOI CARTI joins him for a couple of tracks
Like Bruno Mars I only know a couple of his hits, ' Save Your Tears ' and his massive worldwide hit 'Blinding Lights' that were both played near the end of the main set .
Around 35 tracks performed in total tonight.
The two song encore was a visual bonanza , as we had flames galore, lasers, fireworks and 100 balloons.
