Friday 21 August 2026. RONNIE WOOD and his band featuring IMELDA MAY live at The Forum, Kentish Town. Ronnie plays a London as part of his 12 date European Tour. His only other UK show is at a festival next weekend. The Rolling Stones guitarist will be revisiting music from every major chapter of his career with The Rolling Stones, Faces, the Jeff Beck Group and his solo catalogue. I saw Ronnie solo at Shepherds Bush Empire in 2001 and 2019. I saw Ronnie solo in 2010 at The Ambassadors Theatre . Rolling Stones charge fans very high ticket prices , and Ronnie seems to think they will pay lots for his solo show.....Tickets for this show are £200 for upstairs balcony seats and £150 for stalls floor standing. Ticket update ...a week before the show standing and balcony tickets are still available so the promoters have reduced all tickets to £117. Was Ronnies date planned or just go coincidence ? , as it's exactly 50 years ago that I saw The Rolling Stones at Knebworth when Ronnie was in the band...21 August 1976... Support acts were 10cc, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Todd Rundgren. It was the last 10cc show with all four original members. Ronnie Wood will be aged 79 when he plays this show . ----------- Not sold out tonight , but pretty full. No real surprise , it's pretty much an older crowd.. Over 200, yes 200 on the guest list. Gary Kemp , Guy Pratt and Spike from The Quireboys were here. Also Ronnie's wife and his agent John Giddings...probably a couple more. MARCUS BONFANTI and two band mates arrived on stage at 8pm for their 30 mins set. Marcus Bonfanti (aged 43) , is a British blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. He has released three albums and one EP, and works both as a solo musician and, from 2014 until 2024, as the frontman for the British blues rock group Ten Years After. I have seen him once with Ten Years After. The trio played a good set of blues rock tunes. RONNIE and his band arrived on stage at 9.10pm and played for 2 hours 10 mins. Ronnie has a great backing band , including a second guitarist , and a great black female backing singer who had that Tina Turner/ Lisa Fischer type vocals and vibe. Imelda May joined Ronnie on stage after around 30 mins, for all the remainder. Ronnie wisely let the two females take the lead vocals on several tracks. The setlist was a great mix of his solo material and the various bands he has worked with, and other covers . A lovely opening of a Rolling Stones classic . Ronnie Wood brings a loose, joyful, and high-energy pub-rock spirit to his side-project solo live shows, blending classic Chuck Berry covers, Faces anthems, and The Rolling Stones cuts with an intimate, unpretentious charm.Ronnie Wood may not possess the traditional polish or bombast of a primetime charismatic frontman—with vocals occasionally sitting low in the mix—but the fans gladly forgive any rough edges given the historic pedigree and sheer infectious enthusiasm that Ronnie has on stage. Some tracks were a bit average ,but there was plenty of goodies, including gems by The Faces. At 11pm Ronnie said " bollocks to the 11pm curfew" and kept playing on . WE WILL ROCK YOU live at The Theatre Royal, Windsor . We Will Rock You – The Musical, featuring the iconic music of Queen and a bold, futuristic storyline by Ben Elton. I saw the original West End production a few times when it was at The Dominion Theatre, where it had an incredible 12 year run.....really good. This is a local community production. It is on here from Wednesday 19 August to Saturday 22 August 2026. Tickets are very reasonably priced, as they are £28 , £23, £20. www.theatreroyalwindsor.co.uk - Visit their website here for more info and to buy tickets . ------------ Good to see this cosy 630 capacity theatre is nearly sold out for this matinee show. Always good to wander around Windsor then take in a show here. The show is for around 2 hours over two sets , with a 20 mins interval on top of that. Over 20 male and female actors on stage , along with a big screen showing images . Set in a world where music is forbidden and individuality is crushed, a group of rebel Bohemians rise up to bring back rock ‘n’ roll. Packed with over 20 Queen anthems like “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Somebody to Love”, " I Want To Break Free",“Don’t Stop Me Now”, " Radio GaGa", "Killer Queen", " Fat Bottomed Girls" , "Another One Bites The Dust ", and “We Are the Champions”, this musical is loud, proud, and bursting with energy. The cast are all top notch , but I would have to say Charlotte Tuffen as Scaramouche was my fave. A very enjoyable show , so get down to Windsor Friday or Saturday ( Saturday also has a matinee). then A.F.I. live at Shepherds Bush Empire . A.F.I. ( A Fire Inside) are playing a UK and European Tour. From their beginnings as a hardcore band in the early ’90s, through their dark melodic punk evolution at the turn of the century, to their mainstream breakthrough and later shape-shifting alt-rock exploration, A.F.I. has never stopped challenging themselves or their audience. Each era has marked a bold new chapter in a career defined by creative fearlessness. A.F.I have released 12 studio albums since their debut in 1995. -------- Level 3 is closed tonight, but all the other levels are full ,including a rammed stalls standing. TR/ST arrived on stage at 8.15pm for their 30 mins set. They are an electro-synth duo from Canada, who played a decent set. A.F.I. arrived on stage at 9.15pm for their 70 mins set. Lots of lights and amps galore for their stage production . Lots of moshing tonight , and several crowd surfers, as lots of very uptempo tracks. All three band members at the front are full of energy, constantly moving around the stage . Frontman Davey Havok commands the stage with theatrical charisma, and after 30 mins , he goes into the stalls bar area to sing a track . An enjoyable show , although 70.mins on stage seemed a bit short.
