Thursday 27 August 2026. Happy Birthday to GLEN MATLOCK who is 70 today . Probably the musician i have seen on stage the most times...the first time was back in 1976 ... Easily over 80 times , when you add over 30 Sex Pistols shows , solo acoustic and band shows ,including Jimmy Norton Explosion, The Rich Kids, The Faces , Dead Men Walking , Blondie and other bands , including a one off band with Bobby Gillespie and Zak Starkey called Silver Machine in Shoreditch in 2010 , and when Glen stood in for Mani at a Primal Scream gig at Brixton Academy in 2011. --------------------------------------- Wednesday 26 August 2026. Will be out of action a few days after my cold got much worse of Monday.,. I feel pretty rough , due to the cold and bad cough and a very sore throat. ---------------------------------------- Tuesday 25 August 2026. Very sad news that DOLLY PARTON has died aged 80. I saw Dolly live at Wembley Arena (2007) and The 02 Arena (2008) In 2019 I went to the opening night and party for Dollys musical " 9 to 5" at The Savoy Hotel Ballroom. A very lavish event, and Dolly was there for an hour or so. Happy Birthday to GENE SIMMONS who 77 today . Happy Birthday to ROB HALFORD who is 75 today Happy Birthday to ELVIS COSTELLO who is 72 today. Happy Birthday to GAYE BLACK from punk band The Adverts who is 70 today. --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- Monday 24 August 2026....3.30pm to 8.30pm... ROYAL WINDSOR RACECOURSE A staple of Royal Windsor Racecourse racing calendar, Monday Night Racing is a fantastic way to kickstart your week. Taking place between April and September, these are some of our most popular days. Six races each meeting , then some live entertainment. For the opening hour from 15.13, all draft pints are half price...it is a cashless venue... --------- Got their earlier enough to get sone half price pints. A lovely sunny day , and not too hot. At 5.13pm we have the first of the six races. At 8pm a singer Matthew Allman sang some reggae covers to a backing tape in the marquee. A very nice day out. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- Saturday 22 August 2026. POUR MINDS PODCAST live at Shepherds Bush Empire. The two black American girls bring their Apple/Spotify podcast to the stage, for their 'Still Sippin'' tour. Pour Minds is a popular unfiltered comedy and lifestyle podcast hosted by best friends Drea Nicole and Lex P, featuring weekly conversations about relationships, music, and navigating life. New episodes drop every Friday across major audio and video streaming platforms. -------------- As it is a podcast , it is stalls seated tonight, but amazingly it is 1000 capacity sold out show. It is 90% black females all dressed up nicely for a girls night out. A sprinkling of white females ,black males and white males. A female DJ warmed the crowd up with tunes the girls here liked. POUR MINDS PODCAST started at 8.50pm and lasted 1 hour 50 mins. The stage is a sofa , two armchairs and a big screen showing images The Pour Minds girls are two dressed up Houstonians living in Atlanta , so you notice their accent. Lots of audience participation with with a Q n A session , and a trivia comp about the podcast. Relationship stories about men from the audience went down well with the crowd. Two twerking contests were very entertaining . The evening finished with a few songs karaoke and the girls pouring shots out to the crowd. Enjoyable.
