Thursday 03 September 2026...I went to two events tonight... 4.30pm to 7.15pm Showcase at Chelsea Football Stadium , Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road London SW6 . September is the month where many venues showcase to get Christmas party bookings. Around 100 guests here , so plenty of space. Being a QPR fan, I restrained myself from damaging the venue. The main event is held in their ' Under The Bridge' venue., under The East Stand. I gave seen several gigs here in this very nice 500 capacity venue , but they seem to have stopped the gigs and focused on football related events and screenings. On match days, it functions as the UTB Sports Lounge, offering upscale pre- and post-match experiences for fans. This includes chef's table dining, a complimentary bar, large screens showing match build-up, and Q&A sessions with Chelsea legends. They have over 100 classic music photos dotted around the back of the venue, including... The Sex Pistols in Carnaby Street in 1976 by Ray Stevenson Marc Bolan with Steve Peregrin Took in 1968 by Ray Stevenson Sid and Nancy in 1978 by Richard Mann Cream in rehearsals for RAH at Bray Studios by Jill Furmanovsky At 5.30pm we have a live band with male and female vocals playing well know covers for 45 mins. We had stadium tour for around 30 mins , which can be bought as a separate ticket . This behind-the-scenes stadium tour of Stamford Bridge lets you in on insider knowledge and takes you to the most exclusive areas of the stadium including both the home and away dressing rooms, the press room, players' tunnel, and pitch side. Interactive devices featuring exclusive videos and 360° footage will immerse you in the action. Plus, you can pose for photos with the official UEFA Champion's League trophies. Complimentary vodka cocktails, wines ,beers , bowl foods, canapes and desserts. then 8pm to 10.30pm. DUMBO - opening launch party - 37 Berwick Street , Soho London W1. Dumbo was founded in 2019 in the Pigalle district of Paris and now has a number of smash burger joints across the city (as well as an outlet in Milan) ...this is their second outlet in London. The concise menu features just four core items: Cheeseburger (made with beef from HG Walter) Earth Burger (vegetarian option) Tempura Chicken Nuggets Twice Cooked Fries We luckily find a table inside as there are many more people outside in the street , than inside, as it's compact . You get a voucher for the meal , which was a very yummy cheeseburger , fries and chicken nuggets . There was also free flowing wines and tins of lager too. Happy Birthday to Sex Pistols ' Guitar Hero' STEVE JONES who is 71 today . GK BARRY live at Shepherds Bush Empire. She’s hilarious, honest and completely unfiltered - and now she’s hitting the road. Watch her on Channel 4 Sunday Brunch 10am on Sunday 30 August 2026. -------- Levels 2 and 3 are closed , and lots of unsold sests in Level 1 and stalls seats , so maybe only 300 tickets sold out of a possible 1000 full house. As expected it is pretty much a 90% female crowd. The show felt a bit short as she was on for only 80 mins over two sets of 35 mins and 45 mins . Just two armchairs and a table made up the stage production. GK Barry is looking suitably glamorous in a tight gown and heels. One of her female friends asked the questions on stage . Lots of girly chat , with lots of stories from her book. The start of the second half featured dating experiences , her gay icons and her current relationship. GK Barry (Grace Keeling) is in a gay relationship with footballer Ella Rutherford , who is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Portsmouth.: The couple started dating in 2024 after connecting through social media and mutual acquaintances. She talks honestly about the highs and lows of being a celebrity The latter part of the second half had a q n a session with the crowd , which was good fun. A question was " where do you see yourself in five years time? " She replied hopefully married to Ella , surrounded by several dogs. Enjoyable enough. ------------------------------- ------------------------------- 02 September 2026. THE SEX PISTOLS played their last ever London show with John Lydon on this day 18 years ago. I was at the final three shows ever , that John Lydon has played with them. 31 Aug 2008. Restaurants close and a new one opens in.its place non stop these days in London, but hotel closures like this one come as a big shock ....CHATEAU DENMARK... Chateau Denmark permanently closed its boutique hotel operations on August 4, 2026, after more than four years on the famous music equipment shops street - London's Denmark Street. It was situated opposite the famous rehearsal rooms of The Sex Pistols. The 55-room, rock 'n' roll-themed hotel spanning 16 buildings in Soho has completely ceased overnight guest operations. The associated club, Thirteen, and the underground private cocktail bar, dial8, continue to operate as normal for dining, drinks, and private events. The hotel opened in April 2022 by CAW Ventures and Outernet London, the luxury property reported financial losses prior to making the decision to shutter the hotel side of the business. A couple of years ago i went to a fashion event held in two of the rooms.
