Friday 11 September 2026.
SAINT ETIENNE live at Shepherds Bush Empire .
Saint Etienne's farewell 12 date UK and Ireland tour, titled "The Long Goodbye," takes place in September 2026 following their final studio album, 'International' .
They play another London show at The Roundhouse on Friday 18 September 2026.
However, they said they will be playing festival dates next summer.
Celebrating 35 years of their indie club culture sound.
This show sold out in advance.
They have played this venue a few times before, although I never seen them before.
Saint Etienne have had 17 x Top 40 hits in the UK , but that included only one Top 10.
-------------
The venue is rammed solid sold out , with a mainly middle aged crowd.
The merch stand at the front entrance is doing great business.
THE PARALLELS arrived on stage at 8pm for their 35 mins set.
Seven of them on stage , including females on trumpet and trombone.
They played a good set.
The on stage DJ played some cool tracks in the interval , including a cover of Sex Pistols 'No Feelings' sung by a female in a hillbilly style.
SAINT ETIENNE arrived on stage at 9.05pm for their 90 mins set.
A nice big screen , that shows lots of retro images.
Six of them on stage , including two keyboards , but no guitars.
Singer Sarah Bracknell is now aged 59, has a dreamy laid back vocal style.
I only know a couple of their tracks.
Initially emerging from the indie dance scene of the 1990s, their music has blended club culture with 1960s pop and other disparate influences.
The set had several fan favourites judging by the audience reception.
An enjoyable show.

Thursday 10 September 2026..I went to two events tonight...
6pm to 7.45pm.
INCA LONDON - showcase - 8-9 Argyll Street , London W1.
This venue is located next to the famous London Palladium.
Their dinner and show in London focuses on the journey over centuries across the Incan Peninsula. An expressive burst of colours, sight and sound as your other senses are fully-catered to at your table.
Adding an explosive twist to a traditional London Cabaret Restaurant, INCA London brings in some of the most high-flying acrobatic talent to centre stage while singers lead the chorus as you enjoy their mouth-watering South American sharing dishes.
From the sexy samba of Brazil to the tantalising tango of Buenos Aires, our performers interact with diners giving an up-close and immersive experience and invite you to become part of the story.
Around 150 guests here, and must be a dozen folks here that i know.
The venue has a dark ,late night club vibe to it
We get there early so thankfully get a nice table and seats.
We see some of their live entertainment on their central stage.
A female singer and her three showgirl dancers perform a couple of covers.
A male singer and the three showgirl dancers perform a couple of covers .
Complimentary vodka cocktails , gin cocktails, wines and beers.
Some nice bowl food , including black cod with rice , along with canapes and pastries.
then ...
HOLY HOLY live at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Top notch tribute celebration to David Bowie are playing their final tour.
Holy Holy are the authentic sound of David Bowie starring drummer Woody Woodmansey from Bowieís legendary backing band Spiders From Mars, and Bowie's long-time friend Tony Visconti.
Performing Bowie compositions from 1970 through to his final album Blackstar, Woodmansey and Visconti are joined on stage by Heaven 17ís Glenn Gregory (lead vocals), Paul Cuddeford and James Stevenson (guitars), Visconti daughter Jessica Lee Morgan (12-string guitar and sax) and Janette Mason (piano/keys).
I was lucky to see the real David Bowie 15 times since 1976, including this same venue ( Shepherds Bush Empire) in 1997.
------------
It does not say sold out at the front , but the venue looks full.
HOLY HOLY arrived on my stage at 8.30pm and played for 1 hour 55 mins.
Eight musicians are on stage.
There are many David Bowie tributes playing gigs, but you will not find any more authentic than this one .
Glenn Gregory does a great job with the vocals and the relaxed and enjoyable stage banter.
James Stevenson says Mick Ronson was the reason he first picked up a guitar.
At the start of the encore Woody Woodmansey and Tony Visconti say a few words.
Tony Visconti jokes he is suffering from CRS ( Can't Remember Shit).
Non stop Bowie tracks, with a nice mix of classics and rarer tracks.
A great show.
