Monday 28 September 2026.
ROGER TAYLOR BAND live at The Roundhouse .
The Queen drummer will be 77 when he performs here.
Playing solo material , along with a few Queen classics and cover versions.
Roger is touring to promote ' Violence Insane in a Beautiful World' which is his seventh solo studio album.
It was released on 18 September 2026, through Taylor's own Nightjar Productions and Columbia Records.
I saw Roger Taylor Band play live at Shepherds Bush Empire in 2021.
Brian May came on for the encore back then......will Brian turn up again ?
I was lucky to have seen Queen a dozen times with Freddie Mercury.
First time was support to Mott The Hoople at Hammersmith Odeon in Dec 1973.
Also his legendary performance at Live Aid in July 1985.
-----------------
The Roundhouse website was selling tickets on the day, so not sold out , but it is very full.
Lots of overseas folks here , as his tour consists of just six UK shows, with none elsewhere.
A mainly middle aged crowd of loyal Queen fans.
Lots of cameras around , as it was being filmed.
FREDDIE LENNOX arrived on stage at 7.30pm for his 30 mins set.
Just him and his acoustic guitar for a good set.
ROGER TAYLOR BAND arrived on stage at 8.30pm for their 1 hour 50 mins set.
Roger sung most of the vocals, and his voice was really good.
He got behind the drums a couple of times on the second kit.
The top notch sounding band included Spike Edney on keyboards , who is a long time Queen associate .
The setlist was a great mix of mainly solo material, a few Queen classics and a couple of covers.
An African youth choir joined them for the encore and were superb , which included their stunning version of ' Bohemian Rhapsody'.
The crowd went wild as BRIAN MAY came on for the encore .
A few well known faces here tonight , including Ben Elton , Paul Whitehouse and Vinnie Jones.
A totally excellent show .

Sunday 27 September 2026.
50 years of punk rock celebration gig at The 100 Club.
SCOTTISH SEX PISTOLS + LIZZIE & THE BANSHEES + BUZZKOCKS
Three top notch punk tribute bands perform.
I saw Scottish Sex Pistols twice back in 1993, but not sure how many original members from then are still playing with them.
They were the first Sex Pistols tribute band.
----------
Not sold out but the venue looks pretty full.
Some folks hate tribute bands, but I kinda like them.
BUZZKOCKS arrived on stage at 7.30pm for their 45 mins set.
The singer looked and sounded a bit like Pete Shelley .
They sounded fantastic , especially the guitars and backing vocals
Lots of gems played , including...
Fast Cars
Love You More
I Don't Mind
Breakdown
Harmony in My Head
Boredom
Orgasm Addict
Promises
What Do I Get ?
Ever Fallen In Love
Oh Shit!
LIZZIE AND THE BANSHEES arrived on stage at 8.30pm for their 75 mins set .
Lizzie did a great job of looking and singing like Siouxsie from her gothic black days.
Lots of gems played, including...
Arabian Nights
The Staircase
Nightshift
Passenger ( Iggy Pop cover that Siouxsie recorded )
Christine
Love in a Void
Happy House
Hong Kong Garden
Helter Skelter ( The Beatles cover that Siouxsie recorded )
Spellbound
SCOTTISH SEX PISTOLS arrived on stage at 9.55pm for their 60 mins set.
Johnny is short in stature , but does a decent job, and even had a couple of digs at Frank Cater.
The songs all sound great , but oddly they play a shorter set than Siouxsie.
Maybe Siouxsie should have also done 60 mins as a Sunday night late finish meant several left early .
Full SSP setlist played tonight...
Holidays In The Sun
Bodies
No Feelings
Lazy Sod
Liar
Steppin Stone ( cover)
Did You No Wrong
Silly Thing
God Dave The Queen
Submission
New York
EMI
Pretty Vacant
No Fun ( cover)
Anarchy in the UK
Problems
At the end of the show , we chatted to their singer and amazingly he confirmed he was the singer with them back in 1993, but with different band members.
So many great songs played by all three bands tonight.
