No wonder Macca did not want to clash with Taylor Swift for opening week album sales,

Very sad news that GERRY MARSDEN has passed away aged 78, following a heart infection.
The Gerry & The Pacemakers singer was best known for the hit, You'll Never Walk Alone.
It is still famously sung on the terraces at Anfield Football Stadium (Liverpoool F.C.)
It was one of their three number one singles, that all went to the top in 1963.
Another well known hit the following year was "Ferry Across The Mersey".
I saw Gerry & The Pacemakers play The Royal Albert Hall in 2005.

04 Jan 1986 - PHIL LYNOTT sadly passed away 35 years ago today.
I was lucky to have seen him play with Lizzy 23 times including their last ever UK show.
After a difficult leg of the tour in Japan, where some members of the band had difficulty obtaining heroin, Thin Lizzy played their final UK concert before their break-up at the Reading Festival in August 1983.

KISS NYE show in Dubai is up on YouTube and well worth watching.
Main show - 2 hours 13 mins full set.
The finale of " Rock n Roll All Nite" is spectacular , with non-stop fireworks and flames.
Pre-show documentary - 58 mins ( pretty amazing how much effort was put into getting this show on).
The band seem keen on promoting Dubai, Atlantis Hotel and Emirates Airlines (all sponsors) .
Only time I was in Dubai was in their airport for a couple of hours, en route to Australia.
Gene and Paul said that KISS will play their again, and bring their families with them.
Rehearsals - songs played with pyro but band not in make-up and costumes.
