It was recorded at the University of Leeds Refectory on 14 February 1970, and is their only live album that was released while the group were still actively recording and performing with their best-known line-up of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon. ---------- The U.K. has now given out over 15 million Covid vaccines....pretty amazing. ---------- Happy Birthday to KEVIN KEEGAN who is 70 today. ------------------- Monday 15 February 2021. THE WHO have finally announced the cancellation of their March 2021 UK arena tour. Covid strikes again, and no doubt a few more tours will be postponed or cancelled. ----------- THE MEMBERS have a new album out. From 23 Feb , New York will start allowing socially distanced events in arenas to happen. Do expect a 10% capacity limit in arenas and stadiums that can fit over 10,000 people, plus assigned and socially distanced seatings, temperature checks and face covering requirements. One more thing: everyone entering the various complexes must show proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event they're attending. The thing is , how can anyone make any money unless the event is televised, when only 10% capacity ? ------------------- Thursday 18 February 2021. THE DAMNED released the first ever UK punk album on this day 44 years ago. Damned Damned Damned is the debut studio album by English punk rock band the Damned. It was released on 18 February 1977 by Stiff Records. Produced by Nick Lowe, Damned Damned Damned was the first full-length album released by a UK punk group. I bought it as soon as it came out. I have seen The Damned live over 40 times, including once in 1976 and ten times in 1977. ---------- Some sad news.....Legendary pioneer of the dancehall, U Roy is dead. The veteran toaster reportedly died in his native Jamaica on Wednesday night after ailing for sometime. He was 78. Tributes flowed freely on social media Wednesday night as musicians expressed sorrow at the death of a pioneering godfather of Jamaican music.
