Saturday 05 June 2021. SKY ARTS 11pm - BLACK SABBATH live in Birmingham 04 Feb 2017 - their last ever show. I saw one of their two last ever London shows at The 02 Arena a couple of days before this show. I have seen Black Sabbath around 35 times since 1974, when they headlined Hammersmith Odeon. -------- SKY ARTS 9pm - Sat and Sun are showing highlights of previous Download Festivals. BBC2 10.30pm - TINA TURNER live 2009. I have seen Tina live several times including Ike and Tina Turner in 1974 at Hammersmith Odeon. -------- Happy Birthday to IRON MAIDEN drummer NICKO MCBRAIN who is 69 today. I have seen Iron Maiden around 35 times since 1980 when they supported Judas Priest. -------- Happy Birthday to PSYCHEDELIC FURS front man RICHARD BUTLER who is 65 today. I have seen him with the Furs around 15 times since 1979 when they were a support act. I have also seen him with his side project Love Spit Love when the Furs were on hiatus. ------------------ Sunday 06 June 2021. SKY ARTS 3pm - The Killers live at The Royal Albert Hall 2009....I was at this great show... SKY ARTS 7.15pm - Metallica live in San Francisco 2019. SKY ARTS 10.30pm - Iron Maiden "Flight 666 " documentary. ------------------ Monday 07 June 2021. Happy Birthday to TOM JONES who is 81 today. I have seen Tom live around a dozen times since 1989. Tom is playing a full UK tour throughout this summer. ----------------- Tuesday 08 June 2021. Happy Birthday to BONNIE TYLER who is 70 today. I have seen her perform three times along with a couple of guest appearances. 1988 - headlining Hammersmith Odeon 2012 - supporting Status Quo at The 02 Arena 2019 - headlining The Palladium --------- Happy Birthday to MICK HUCKNALL who is 61 today. I have seen Simply Red live around 20 times since 1985 when i saw them three times supporting soul legend JAMES BROWN at Hammersmith Odeon. I also saw him a couple of times when he fronted THE FACES. --------- Tuesday 08 June 2021...5.30pm to 7.30pm...private view... Changing Room Gallery,1 Hopkins Street, Soho, London W1. Great to be mooching around Soho in the sunshine. The old Soho is disappearing quickly, as more and more overpriced luxury apartments are going up. Changing Room Gallery Presents 'Thirst Prize' showcasing works created during RES. 002 with Corbin Shaw and Celeste McEvoy. Both artists have created new works which they will exhibit beside each other recreating conversations during their duo residency. Showcasing their work at ZeroOne’s space located in the heart of Soho. Formerly a Victorian primary school. Around 100 cool arty folks at this gallery near Berwick Street. Complimentary vodka and orange & vodka and raspberry drinks for all the guests. This exhibition is on from 08 June to 12 June - free admission Afterwards I saw a punk poster on the wall from my friend MAL-ONE Check out his release on Record Store Day Saturday 12 June 2021.
