Monday 05 July 2021. 05 July 2014 - it was seven years ago today that THE LIBERTINES headlined Hyde Park. An amazing gamble by the promoters but their big London reunion show was an incredible 65,000 sell out. I went to this show , where over a dozen fans got injured in a front of stage crush at the start. --------- Monday 05 July 2021....6.45pm to 9.15pm... Complimentary drinks including some delicious Pisco Sour cocktails , along with Gin & Tonics, wines and beers for all the guests at this cool gallery. ---------------- Wed 07 July - Happy Birthday to RINGO STARR who is 81 today. Wed 07 July - EURO 2020 Football - second semi-final at Wembley Stadium. 8pm live on tv - ENGLAND 2 Denmark 1 I was again at The Fan Zone in Trafalgar Square. Since the last England game here they have expanded the site and put artificial grass down everywhere. 300 are in an overflow area where they have closed the streets near the church at Trafalgar Square 700 originally, so now there are 1000 folks in total. A fantastic atmosphere, as folks celebrated wildly when we scored and at the end. 6pm to 7pm BBC DJ SEAN ROWLEY played an hour of cool hits from the 1980s and 1990s. 7.20pm LIGHTNING SEEDS played two of their hit singles which were "The Life of Riley " and their mega football anthem "Three Lions (Footballs Coming Home". England won , with a dodgy penalty decision for the second goal...but who cares? England reach their first major football final since they won the World Cup in 1966...amazing.. After the game , The West End was gridlock as fans and cars tooting their horns, decended there.
