IGB SUMMER SOCIAL at Neverland , Wandsworth Bridge Road, London SW6. iGaming Business (IGB) is a business-to-business magazine focusing on the online gambling industry. A newish venue for me as it is on the plot of land by the bridge that i bought a couple of cars from in the 1980s and 1990s...Wandsworth Car Auctions. Neverland is a huge beach club themed venue that backs on to The River Thames. It is split with a covered space and a sandy open area full of day beds, huts & cabanas. They have capacity for 400, and there are maybe 200 guests here tonight. There are dance tunes being played , and a live sax player plays a few tunes to a backing track. Lots of complimentary drinks and food including, various spirits including JD & Cokes, various wines, beers, ciders and full BBQ buffet with burgers ,sausages, chicken, full salad dishes. A great evening. --------- Two shock news of musicians deaths. I have seen both bands several times each on stage. DUSTY HILL - ZZ Top bassist dies aged 72. JOEY JORDISON - ex Slipknot drummer dies aged 46. I was at that amazing Donington Festival show in 2004 when Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich went AWOL, and JOEY JORDISON stood in at short notice for most of their set. ------------------ Thursday 29 July 2021. SIR PETER BLAKE - Waddington Custot Gallery , 11 Cork Street, Mayfair, London W1. Peter Blake "Time Traveller " Exhibition & "Peter Blake : Collage" book party. Sir Peter Blake (now aged 89) is an English pop artist, best known for co-creating the sleeve design for the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...along with many other album covers. Over 100 guests here , with many outside on the pavement. Sir Peter Blake is here in a wheelchair , and i get my photo taken with him...see my Facebook page... There was a jazz quartet playing several tunes from 7pm. Complimentary Gremillet champers, wines and canapés for all guests. then 8.30pm to 9.30pm... ZARI GALLERY - private view - 73 Newman Street, London W1. This cool gallery is located just around the corner from the rear entrance of The 100 Club. A small gallery but they had a proper barman shaking up some proper cocktails. Complimentary vodka cocktails and gin cocktails for all guests.
