Monday 25 October 2021...6pm to 6.30pm... BOWIE 75 - opening day - 14 Heddon Street, London W1. Such a career deserves a certain kind of treatment, mind. So it’s a good job that 360 reality audio, plus an immersive music and video experience, is on hand to take you on the journey. The “Bowie 75” stores mark the first time his content has been made available in this immersive format. Guests will be treated to hours of video, together with previously unseen footage of Bowie and very rare clips of the Heathen and Reality eras. There will, of course, be plenty of opportunities to get a shot for the ‘gram, with plenty of iconic costumes to place yourself in. Intimate special guest appearances are also set to be announced, alongside a multitude of events. (Stay tuned at the Bowie 75 site). Oh, and it’s unlikely that Bowie fanatics will want to leave empty handed, which is where the “store” part comes in. You’ll have the chance to get your hands on limited edition releases of exclusive Bowie apparel and collectibles, as well as limited run LPs and CDs from both the Warner/Parlophone Records and Sony catalogues. I had a quick browse for 30 mins as it is open to 8pm most days. The store will be open for the next 75 days to celebrate his 75th birthday in Jan 2022 Earlier, guests including Nile Rodgers , Bob Geldof, Jonathan Ross and Boy George visited the store then gathered for a lunch nearby at a restaurant. ---------------- then MICHAEL BOLTON + REBECCA FERGUSON live at The Royal Albert Hall. REBECCA FERGUSON arrived on stage at 7.35pm for her 30 mins set. Around a decade ago , Rebecca was runner up on The X Factor. She still has her giggly Liverpool accent , but has a good voice. She sung several songs from her four albums. For one song, she brought out her seven year old daughter on to the stage. MICHAEL BOLTON arrived on stage at 8.35pm for his 85 mins set. Michael Bolton has sold over a staggering 75 million records - albums and singles combined. Michael is now 68, but plenty of middle aged females are here to support him..."we love you Michael". The two women from Liverpool next to me, were loving every minute of it. Michael still has a soulful voice but it was not as powerful as before. Pop soul cover versions took up over half the set, and Michael played all his four Top 10 UK singles. The crowd seemed happy to just singalong and sway with the familiar cover songs. Rebecca Ferguson came back to sing three songs with him. A good show. Full MICHAEL BOLTON setlist played tonight.... Stand By Me You Don’t Know What it’s Like Dock at the Bay Said I Loved You... But I Lied You Don’t Know Me That’s Life Make You Feel My Love (with Rebecca) How Am I Supposed to Live Without You (with Rebecca) Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (with Rebecca) His band played a song while Michael took a break When a Man Loves a Woman How Can We Be Lovers If We Can’t Be Friends Steel Bars Time Love and Tenderness Encore Go the Distance Lean On Me
