Wednesday 27 October 2021...I went to two events tonight... 6.30pm to 8.30pm CRYSTAL HEAD ONYX - Halloween Party - Park Row, 77 Brewer Street, London W1. This Premium vodka brand is owned by actor Dan Aykroyd. The bottle comes in the shape of a skull. This stunning newish venue has five bars and restaurants, three floors below Soho’s Brewer Street, and has a DC Comics theme to it. The staff and several of the guests are wearing Halloween face paint etc. Around 150 guests here in the two rooms they are using...a nice buzzy atmosphere. Jeweller STEPHEN WEBSTER was here, along with fashion designer JOSHUA KANE. The bar in one room, and sofas and a DJ in the other. A choice of five different complimentary Crystal Head Onyx Vodka Cocktails and some tasty canapés. www.crystalheadvodka.com - Visit their website here for more info and photos. --------- then 8.45pm to 11.45pm 29th RAINDANCE FILM FESTIVAL - opening gala party - Dorchester Hotel, London W1. Always nice to be at this famous five star hotel in Park Lane. Around 400 guests here in their ballroom space. It is a black-tie event, so many women are in glamourous gowns. Legendary actor SIR MICHAEL CAINE was here with a walking stick, and gives a short speech. Still making films at the age of 88, is pretty amazing....he only stays for 30 mins. His latest film "Best Sellers" was shown earlier to this crowd at The Curzon Cinema, Mayfair. We have a live 1930s swing band , who played for around an hour. Complimentary Veuve Clicquot champers, wines, vodka and mixers, bowl food, canapés and desserts. www.raindance.co.uk - Visit their website here. Raindance is held at selected cinemas until 06 November 2021. -------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday 26 October 2021....6.15pm to 9.30pm... THE AVOCADO SHOW LONDON - media evening - 6 Princes Street, London W1. A great location near Oxford Circus, just around the corner from the Apple Store. A smallish space , as it only holds around 30 covers or so. After opening in Amsterdam three years ago, they are now in London. Most dishes have a hint or a lot of avocado in them. They are all about good vibes and stunning, delicious dishes made with love from sustainable avocados. Fancy some avocado fries? Fancy a nacho mountain, covered in avocado? Fancy a Julio Ceasar Salad with Cajun chicken , bacon and avocado? Fancy a burger, where the bun is two halves of an avocado? Fancy a dessert, that's cheesecake covered in Oreo sprinkles? A full selection of yummy "normal" cocktails too, including Espresso Martini's. They also have different items that are only served at lunchtime. The staff were great, and we had a lovely time here. www.theavocadoshow.com - Visit their website here for more info and photos.
