Sunday 07 November 2021.

Monday 08 November 2021. Happy Birthday to ROY WOOD who is 75 today. My first ever concert was Wizzard at Hammersmith Palais on 11 Sept 1973. It was the start of my gig addiction...now over 7100 gigs seen by me , and still going strong. See my Facebook page for a photo of Roy Wood and me together. ------------------------------------ Sunday 07 November 2021....3pm to 6pm... GUN CONTROL - my band with me on drums play our first rehearsal for over 18 months. Getting ready for our gig at The George & Dragon Pub, Acton on Sat 27 November. We ran though our 10 song setlist three times in North Acton...great fun. -------------------------------------- Sunday 07 November 2021. Happy Birthday to KISS guitarist TOMMY THAYER who is 61 today. See my Facebook page for a couple of photos i took at the KISS afterparty at The Playboy Club, London on 04 July 2012 after their Forum show. --------------------------------------- Saturday 06 November 2021. LAWSON live at Shepherds Bush Empire. Pop rock band who have had five Top 10 hit singles in the UK. They are promoting their recently released third album. ------------------ Levels 2 and 3 are closed tonight as unsold, so maybe 700 folks are here. First support - ELOISE VIOLA arrived on stage at 7.40pm for her 25 mins set. She was much more livelier than the second support act. Second support - ROSIE SMITH arrived on stage at 8.25pm for her 25 mins set. Joined by an acoustic guitarist for a pretty average set. LAWSON arrived on stage at 9.20pm and played for 85 mins. It is 75% females under the age of 30 here, who know the words to all the lyrics. I expected the band to be in their twenties, but they are in their thirties. They are super tight on stage as it is the last night of their UK tour. They have a nice polite pop rock sound, that is very similiar to The Script. The highlight song was the encore "Standing in the Dark" where the crowd sang half the song on their own, but the entire show was much better than expected. Full setlist played by LAWSON tonight... Four Letters When She Was Mine Gone Animals Taking Over Me Lovers Learn to Love Again Waterfall (Acoustic) Back To Life Die for You Everywhere You Go Brokenhearted Stolen Where My Love Goes Juliet Encore: Standing in the Dark
