Friday 21 January 2022. Very sad news that MEAT LOAF has passed away....he was such an entertaining performer. I saw him on stage over 15 times including his debut London show at Hammersmith Odeon in 1978, when he was promoting his classic album "Bat Out Of Hell" The "Bat Out Of Hell " album is one of the best-selling of all time. The news was confirmed on the star's Facebook page by his family. "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side," a message read. The Bat Out of Hell star sold 100 million albums worldwide and appeared in movies like Fight Club, the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Wayne's World. -------------------------------------- Thursday 20 January 2022. Happy Birthday to KISS singer PAUL STANLEY who is 70 today. I have seen them over 30 times since their first London shows in May 1976. Looking forward to seeing them a couple of times on their 2022 summer European Tour. They have always been my fave American group. --------------------------------------- Wednesday 19 January 2022. Happy Birthday to DOLLY PARTON who is 76 today. I saw Dolly live at Wembley Arena (2007) and The 02 Arena (2008) In 2019 I went to the opening night press night and party for Dollys musical " 9 to 5" at The Savoy Hotel Ballroom. A very lavish event, and Dolly was there for an hour or so.
