Wednesday 16 February 2022. MELANIE C live at Shepherds Bush Empire. Spice Girl Mel C has released eight solo albums. She has had seven solo Top 10 singles, including two number ones. Melanie C is my fave Spice Girl , and i have seen her solo a couple of times. I have seen The Spice Girls a few times, including in their heyday and at Wembley Stadium in 2019. This was the first time i saw them, back in their heyday..we need more lavish parties like this to happen again. Jamiroquai + Spice Girls @ Alexander Palace , London 13.02.1997 invite only party for around a 1000 guests for pre season launch of McClaren racing cars new livery ... lots of celebs and free booze and both bands did really good 45 mins sets . Support comes from WEISS. ----------------- Tonight was the last night of her week long UK tour, that has been postponed a couple of times. Level 3 is closed tonight , but the other three levels are all rammed full. Lots of male and female gay fans in the crowd tonight. Another one of those shows with over 100 on the guest list , including a couple of well known faces spotted by me....tv presenter LEIGH FRANCIS/KEITH LEMON and musician WILL.I.AM. WEISS arrived on stage at 7.30pm for a 45 mins set. Weiss was not a band, but a DJ playing some dance tunes. MELANIE C arrived on stage at 8.55pm for her 90 mins set. Melanie C is now aged 48 , but she is in great shape as its not long before she is showing off her toned stomach, and trademark sports bra. All her road crew are wearing "Team Sporty" tracksuits. She is a bundle of energy as she dances madly across the stage for many tracks. A nice stage production as she has big screens showing digital images. Plenty of catchy pop songs played in the set tonight. We get acoustic guitar for three songs in the middle but there is no electric guitar or bass, as a keyboard player plays the electro beats. The first half of the show featured a few tracks off her latest album, and the second half of the show had most of the big tunes. Needless to say that the two big Spice Girls hits were the highlight of the show. A really good enjoyable show. Full Melanie C setlist played tonight....
