Monday 07 March 2022.

Monday 07 March 2022....I went to three events today... 4.30pm to 5pm JD MALAT GALLERY , 30 Davies Street, Mayfair, London W1. " Great Shot, Kid " by Dave Benett is on from 17 February 2022 – 8 March 2022. London's number one celebrity photographer and currently with many years with The Standard paper, is showcasing some of photos from the last 40 years....free admission... Sadly , i missed the drinks preview evening for this as it clashed with a gig. Around 20 photos here of big names from music, film, fashion including Mick Jagger, Kate Moss, Elton John and his iconic photo of Elizabeth Hurley in that safety pin dress. I would be chatting to Dave Benett later at the Christie's later. then 5.30pm to 7pm CONTEMPORARY ART NORWAY showcase at The ICA, The Mall, London SW1. This was a preview to launch the Nordic Pavillion at The Venice Film Festival on 20/21/22 April. The Norwegian Ambassador is here to introduce the three artists showcasing in Venice. A few friends are going to Venice Biennale as they always have big parties in a stunning location. Complementary prosecco, wines, beers and canapés for the 100 guests. then 7.10pm to 11pm TERRENCE HIGGINS TRUST presents " The Auction" at Christie's, King Street, St James's, London SW1. Around 500 guests here at this really nice event i have been to several times before. Celebrities here included LEEE JOHN from Imagination and tv presenter Dr Ravi Jayaram. Most of the guests have paid £100 to attend. The event is one of London’s most successful charity auctions and a night like no other. View the incredible lots with a glass of fizz during the welcome reception in Christie’s Great Room, followed by an evening of frantic bidding for world-renowned artwork, luxury travel lots and exciting celebrity experiences. The evening then continues with live entertainment and a standing supper. Over its history, The Auction has raised £5 million, vital funds that make a difference to the lives of people living with and affected by HIV. We have partnered again with The Auction Collective to allow the auction to be streamed live from Christie’s, with real-time bidding for those who are unable to join us on the night. We were sat down for the auction from 8pm to 9.15pm. The most interesting lot to me was tea for two at The Ritz Hotel with COURTNEY LOVE. This sold for £2600. Complimentary Bouvet sparkling wines, vodka cocktails, tequila cocktails along with canapés before the auction and a full Chinese buffet after the auction, along with desserts and chocolate.
