Thursday 31 March 2022....I went to two events today... 1.30pm to 5pm. THE LONDON COFFEE FESTIVAL at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1. Celebrating London's bustling and vibrant coffee scene. Featuring over 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, tastings and demonstrations...it is on Thurs 31 March to Sunday 03 April 2022. General admission is £24 and includes many coffee and food samples. VIP admission is £48 and includes many coffee and food samples, along with a VIP seating area, a complimentary espresso martini and a tote bag with half a dozen food and drink freebies. www.londoncoffeefestival.com - Visit their website here. --------- I popped into the nearby Rough Trade East for a quick browse of their vinyl records beforehand. The coffee festival is very busy as usual, as easily over 1000 folks moving around from stand to stand. That lovely smell of freshly made quality coffee is everywhere. Maybe you are like me,where too much coffee messes up your body, so moderation is essential. Plenty of food samples here ,along with the hundreds of gourmet coffee outlets. La Marzocco espresso machines are giving out lovely big hot dogs. Dappa ice-cream tubs were yummy. Emily vegan crisps were nicer than expected. We spent half the time in the VIP/press area where we had complimentary Espresso Martinins and Negronis (both came in a can) and some comfy seats, and it was a nice quiet area away from the main coffee festival downstairs, and got a couple of goodie bags with food and drinks inside. then 6.15pm to 9pm. HARRY POTTER Photographic Exhibition "showcase" , 45 Wellington Street, Covent Garden , London WC2. The evening was sponsored by Warner Bros On Location London. The exhibition is pretty much all iconic photographs taken on location, with detailed information on each. Everyone could have one of those souvenir photos...I had mine taken atop a witches broomstick while holding a wand. At 7.30pm a DJ started playing tunes, and at 8pm there was a fun bout of musical chairs. Around 150 guests here enjoying gin cocktails, wines and Butterscotch beer alongside Harry Potter themed canapes and desserts. All guests got a goodie bag with Harry Potter Butterscotch beers inside. www.harrypotteronlocation.co.uk Visit their website here for more info and to buy tickets. -----------------------
