Wednesday 08 June 2022...I went to two events tonight... 6.30pm to 8.45pm RADA SUMMER PARTY - Sotheby's , 34/35 New Bond Street, Mayfair, London W1. Famous acting academy has produced many well known names over the years. Around 200 guests here. We had half a dozen RADA graduates perform some Shakespeare in front of the art. Actress FIONA SHAW was here - she was in Harry Potter films and Killing Eve BBC tv series. She was at RADA and she also gave a full five minutes performance from one of her scenes, in the pew. Singer TIM BOOTH from James was here....a band i have seen many times live. Had a nice chat with him..he told me he now lives in Los Angeles and is over for the UK & Europe summer festival season..I asked him if he is looking forward to the big Kenwood show? He told me...that he still gets very nervous in the hour before each show. See my Facebook page for my photos with both of them. Speeches at 7.15pm. Complimentary Sotheby's champagne, Cosmopolitan cocktails, Gin & Tonics and canapés. then 9pm to 12pm BETTING SPORTS EUROPE SUMMER PARTY - Swingers, 15 John Prince's Street, London W1. BETCONSTRUCT are sponsoring this event for over 200 guests. This huge venue actually has capacity for 800 guests, so can easily handle big parties. We have a fun go at the nine hole crazy mini-golf here. Lots of complimentary drinks and food including five different spirits with mixers, wines, beers, ciders, cheeseburgers, pizza, cod in tempura tacos, fries and Crosstown Donuts. It was still very lively when we left at midnight. ------------------------ KISS drinks brand had a showcase at The Hard Rock Hotel in Marble Arch. The band did not turn up but the Hotter Than Hell KISS tribute band played. ------------------------ KISS singer Paul Stanley spent Wednesday night having dinner with guitar legend Jimmy Page. They usually eat at Nobu, Mayfair.
