Wednesday 22 June 2022...I went to two events today. 2.30pm to 5pm EUROPEAN PIZZA & PASTA SHOW at Olympia, London. A massive event with a couple of thousand here visiting. Lots of pizza and pasta companies from Italy are showcasing their food & equipment. Lots of tasty complimentary slices of fresh pizza etc from the stands , along with Italian wines and lagers. Top Italian chef Georgio Locatelli was here signing copies of his latest book. then 6pm to 8.15pm. BACK TO EARTH - private view - MAGAZINE ,ex Sackler Restaurant & Gallery, Serpentine Galleries, Kensington Gardens, London. "Back to Earth" is Serpentine’s long-term, interdisciplinary programme addressing the ongoing climate emergency. This multi-year project invites over sixty leading artists, architects, poets, filmmakers, scientists, thinkers, and designers to respond to the environmental crisis. With the support of partner organisations and networks, these collaborators are devising artistic campaigns, protocols and initiatives that act as catalysts Around 200 guests are here. Music legend BRIAN ENO was here as he is one of the artists involved. I got a photo with him, which is on my Facebook page. Brian Eno (now aged 74) is a British musician, composer, record producer and visual artist best known for his contributions to ambient music and work in rock, pop and electronica.A self-described "non-musician", Eno has helped introduce unconventional conceptual and recording approaches to contemporary music.He has been described as one of popular music's most influential and innovative figures. He has worked with Roxy Music, David Bowie, U2, Coldplay and many more. At 6.50pm we had a couple of speeches. Complimentary Laurent Perrier champers and Gin & Tonics for all guests. It is open to the public from 22 June to 18 September. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- Tuesday 21 June 2022. SHAGGY live at Shepherds Bush Empire. I saw Shaggy play a great show with Sting at The Roundhouse a few years ago. Shaggy played The Isle of Wight Festival a few days before this show. Shaggy has had four number one hits in the UK... Oh Carolina - 1993 Bombastic 1995 It Wasn't Me - 2001 Angel - 2001 ------------------- Level 2 and 3 closed tonight as only 700 tickets sold. No support and early start early finish which was handy when there is a train and tube strike. SHAGGY & band arrived on at stage at 8.15pm and played for 1 hour 50 mins. Nice to hear plenty of good times reggae vibes tonight, and the crowd are all dancing from the start. A very enjoyable show. SHAGGY setlist played tonight included...
