Sunday 14 August 2022.

Saturday 13 August 2022. I will be drumming with my band GUN CONTROL as we play our first gig in Shepherds Bush for 40 years. SHAKE SOME ACTON has moved from Acton to Shepherds Bush. Escape Bar, 174 Goldhawk Road, London W12. 10pm --- JAY VEE AND THE CARDINAL SINS 9pm --- DEAD HOMBRES 8pm --- GUN CONTROL (with me on drums ) We will be the first band on...we have a stand-in singer for this gig... A great new 80 capacity club venue that is putting punk gigs on some Saturday's. Three bands on stage from 8pm to 11pm....doors open 7pm. Tickets are 10 in advance online from wegottickets or pay on the door. 5 mins walk from Goldhawk Road tube station...Hammersmith & City Line. 10 mins walk from Shepherds Bush tube station...Central Line. 10 mins walk from Ravenscourt Park tube station....District Line. ------------------- I remember this ex pub that used to be frequented by mainly Irish folks. It now has a cool music vibe with seven inch vinyl singles stuck on the walls etc. Great to play to a home crowd as we have many friends who have come to see us. My band GUN CONTROL came on 8pm and played for 35 mins set. We played our ten songs - eight originals and covers of "Teenage Kicks" and "Steppin' Stone". The good thing about playing this type of gig is that the drum kit is provided by the promoter for all three bands, so i just bring my sticks. Great to hear applause for our own material. Not perfect, but it was great fun to play live in front of a crowd. They have a nice alfresco space where folks gather during the intervals between bands. DEAD HOMBRES arrived on stage at 9.10pm for 45 mins. A trio who featured some very nifty dirty garage rock n roll guitar. JAY VEE AND THE CARDINAL SINS arrived on stage at 10.15pm for their 50 mins. A good set of uptempo tunes.
