Tuesday 16 August 2022....I went to two venue showcase events tonight.
5pm to 5.45pm
AQUA NUEVA , 5th Floor, 30 Argyll Street, London W1.
This tardis of a venue is directly opposite The London Palladium.
You go up in the lift and you come out to their massive area on the entire fifth floor when they have
six different sized restaurant and bar spaces , including three rooftop terraces.
They can cater from 12 in the private dining room to 400 standing for the entire venue.
We had complimentary Aperol Spritz cocktails, prosecco, wines and canapes.

HERITAGE SOHO , 18 - 20 Rupert Street, Soho, London W1.
This stylish venue opened a couple of years ago , just before covid.
Rupert Street is a quietish street , just a couple of minutes from the lively Leicester Square.
Heritage Soho is an alpine restaurant and cocktail bar in Soho that specialises in fondue, raclette and other classic dishes from the Swiss Alps...Heritage have their original venue in Montreux.
There is an impressive bar area as soon as you enter the venue.
There is also an alfresco outside space, which is ideal for the current warm evenings.
The venue can cater for 62 guests seated or 100 guests standing.

Slices of steak, cheese raclette and fondue, hot and cold canapes, sweet dessert canapes.

A really great hidden gem of a venue.
All guests got a goodie bag with a bottle of rose wine on departure.

BREWDOG , The Sidings , Waterloo Station, London SE1.
One of the biggest pubs in the UK opens this week at the old Eurostar terminal.
Independent craft brewer BrewDog is opening its biggest-ever venue at the heart of a major UK transport hub. The 60-tap destination is scheduled to welcome drinkers to its newest pub as part of the rejuvenation of Waterloo Station.
At 26,500sq ft in size, BrewDog Waterloo is more than twice the size of its previous largest location, DogTap, in Columbus, Ohio, USA. With a capacity of 1,775 people spread across two floors, the bar is a short walk from the platforms of one of the UK’s busiest stations.
The venue includes a two lane bowling alley and a small stage for live music.
Brewdog are famous for their PUNK IPA alcoholic beverage and craft beers.
We also try each of their cocktails including espresso martinis, old fashioned whiskey, Negronis etc.
We try the beef burgers and the buttermilk chicken burgers (Cluck Norris), with fries, and various sides.
We try the desserts including ice cream and orio doughnuts.
The drinks and food prices are a bit higher than normal , as the venue is part of the train station.
On Saturday August 20 at 8pm special guests THE FUTUREHEADS will be playing an exclusive live set...only £7 in advance via the Brewdog website to get in and that includes a free drink.
Brewdog are everywhere these days, including in The Goldhawk Road near Shepherds Bush Empire.
