GLEN MATLOCK PAUL SIMONON NORMAN WATT-ROY I get a nice photo of myself with the three of them, which will be up on my Facebook page Friday. ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------ Wednesday 09 November 2022....6.15pm to 10.15pm... OLD SESSIONS HOUSE - showcase - 23 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1. This magnificent eighteenth-century former courthouse is easily one of Clerkenwell’s most remarkable landmarks. The stone exterior is grand and the building retains a lot of its original structure, adding to its aesthetic raw character. The Grade II listed Old Sessions House has multiple floors, grandiose mezzanine areas, a restored eighteenth-century glass atrium, as well as a resplendent dome roof. The venue has been bought and refurbished by a couple of Swedish brothers. There was a Maserati party here last week. The brothers are showcasing it as a private members club for the many office workers nearby. A smartly dressed crowd here tonight. They have many different spaces here, including a couple of very nice bars. Lots of comfy seats dotted around the venue, so we found a couple by one of the bars , and the barman (from Bulgaria) kept us nicely topped up with champers. A DJ is playing in one of the rooms. There were a couple of other events nearby but we stayed here as nice and cosy. Complimentary Pommery champers and Budweiser beers throughout the evening.
