Wednesday 05 April 2023. BBNO$ live at Shepherds Bush Empire. BBNO$ (pronounced "baby no money"), is a 27 year old Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for his 2019 single "Lalala" with producer Y2K, which has reached over 800 million plays on Spotify. The official video for the track has had over 500 million views on YouTube. The viral rapper has had over 2 billion streams of his songs. He has performed on the main stages at Reading and Leeds Festivals. His seventh album 'Bag or Die' was released in 2022. --------- Level 3 is half empty, but must be at at least 1500 mainly white folks here under the age of 30. Female support act PIRI arrives on stage at 8pm to backing tracks for her 35 mins set. Sophie McBurnie (age 24 ), known professionally as PIRI , is an English dance musician, pole dancer, social media personality, and sex worker....she set up an OnlyFans account and gets between £10,000 and £20,000 a month , that she uses to finance her music career and her North London flat. PIRI had two female dancers with her, and the trio pulled off some top notch dance routines. Some decent drum & bass tracks that eventually won the crowd over. BBNO$ arrived on stage at 9pm and played for 80 mins. He has no band, just a DJ playing backing tracks. However , he has a great stage production with lots of lights and lasers. Cannot remember the last time lasers were used at this venue. The crowd were totally loving it from start to finish. Lots of swearing throughout, and sometimes it felt like cheesy rap. He picked a girl from the front row who was singing along to all his tracks, and sure enough she sung with him on two tracks , and she was excellent. BBNO$ stresses how surreal it is to him that he is given such a warm reception outside of North America. “I'm gonna be back as soon as possible,” he promised – and it felt like a genuine promise. The encore started with his big hit 'Lalala' , which was followed by two full on rave tracks that had the crowd dancing madly, which created moshing and circle pits. A good show that was much better than expected. ------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------ Wednesday 05 April 2023. KISS ticket sales must be going a bit slow as www.axs.com have offered 20% off tickets for all of their six UK shows in June and July 2023. Looks like the idea for KISS to increase ticket prices substantially compared to their previous UK tour has backfired a bit. Maybe they thought that by calling it "The Farewell Tour", folks would pay up...not so. DURAN DURAN must also be struggling a bit , as you can get 20% off tickets for their 02 Arena show on Monday 01 May ( offer not valid for the 02 May show). Also 20% off selected UK shows by ROD STEWART and THE WHO. The code to be used is summer2023
