Friday 17 November 2023. ELIZA live at The Forum. A new name and direction for Eliza Doolittle. She took a few years off after her second album , and is currently touring to promote her fourth studio album. --------- Not sold tonight, but maybe1500 tix sold out of 2000 capacity. One of those gigs with over 100 on the guest list , including TV presenter MIQUITA OLIVER. LAURA GROVES arrives on stage at 8pm for her 30 mins set. Just her and keyboards singing some dreamy tunes. ELIZA arrives on stage at 9pm for her 80 mins set. Eight on stage including two female backing singers. Eliza is showing off her baby bump tummy in a hippy type 70s crop top and trousers. Eliza has a nice sultry r n b voice, and she gets involved with the dance routines with the two backing singers. An enjoyable show During the last song Eliza told the crowd she would be signing her CDs and vinyls after the show at the merch stall. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Thursday 16 November 2023...West End events... 5.15pm to 5.45pm. Christmas Tree Lights Switch On - Mount Street , Mayfair, London W1. Upmarket street that is full of designer stores , with some handing out complimentary mulled wines hot chocolates and festive bites including mince pies etc. Weather was a bit drizzly , so not the best night to be outside. then 5.45pm to 7.45pm. MATCHES FASHION - 5 Carlos Place, Mayfair , London W1. 5 Carlos Place is their London townhouse situated in the heart of Mayfair. Each month, discover new installations that celebrate the worlds of art and fashion. Lots of folks here I know as they have a big crowd over all the different floors.....Comedienne KATHERINE RYAN was here. Complimentary drinks were two different whiskey cocktails. All guests got a large designer RAEY bauble in the goodie bag. then 8pm to 9.45pm. DRAKES - 9 Savile Row, Mayfair , London W1. Drake's is a purveyor of classic British elegance. A maker and haberdasher, Drake's handcrafts some of the world's finest shirts, ties and accessories...with expensive prices. A cool younger fashion crowd here. There is a DJ playing great funk and soul from his vinyl albums. Complimentary whiskey cocktails, gin cocktails , wines, beers.
