HOT MILK live at The Forum.
Hotly tipped for success Manchester band are touring their debut album, ' A Call to the Void' which went to number 40 in the UK charts.
The album was released via Music For Nations/Sony.
A few months ago , one of the agents from their booking agency told me that I would really like this band.
They got nice reviews from their Download Festival 2023 set.
----------
The upstairs looks less than half full, so maybe 1200 tix sold.
I chatted to legendary live music booking agent ROD
MACSWEEN who told me he will be going to New York to see KISS final shows on 01 Dec and 02 Dec , but will be back for EXTREME at The Forum on 04 Dec.
Rod represents both these great live bands.
Rod also told me some great news about THE SCORPIONS.
MODERN ERROR on stage at 7.30pm for their 25 mins set.
A four piece all dressed in black who played some really good crunchin' rock tracks from their debut album.
Nifty guitar riffs mixed with some electronica.
WITCH FEVER on stage at 8.20pm for their 40 mins set.
They have a edgy female singer who went into the stalls crowd and a female bass player who went into the photo pit.
A good set of tracks from their debut album.
HOT MILK on stage at 9.35pm for their 75 mins set.
They have a nice stage production , with some lighting poles and strobe lights.
There are a few film cameras capturing the show.
Pretty amazing how well they have gone from small venues to be here putting on a full on proper rock show.
The female singer is giving it 100% and the guitarist helps out on some vocals. They have three platforms at the front that they use non stop.
Lots of lively moshing and crowd surfing throughout the show.
After 45 mins a male fan was invited on stage to sing a song.
In a touching moment the guitarist dedicated ' Forget Me Not' to his Grandad who recently died of dementia, and who had bought him a Trivium cd for a Christmas past.
Encore of ' Glass Spiders ' was really good.
A nice evening of three good new UK rock acts , and HOT MILK will surely be playing bigger venues in the future.

Louis Theroux meets PETE DOHERTY
Nice interview with Pete on many parts of his life and career.
Drugs , booze, England, France, Carl Barat, arrests , the death at his party , his health....and more.
Pete says on his current health situation...
" The heroin and the crack… I surrendered to that, and then it was cocaine and the smoking and the alcohol, and now it’s cheese and the saucisson, and the sugar in the tea.”
“It’s all gotta go. They told me a little while ago if you don’t change your diet then you’re gonna have diabetes and cholesterol problems,” he continued. “Death’s lurking, you know what I mean? That’s why I carry that stick.”
It is available to view afterwards on the BBC iPlayer.
